The words I have waited so long to hear...

HAVE I MENTIONED I LOVE BEING A MOM!

Old Friends!

Today, Tristan and I went to see an old friend from high school. Her name is Simone. we spent a couple of hour catching up on old times. It was very nice to catch up. Unfortunately the circumstances that Simone is in town are not great, her mom is dieing of cancer. Please keep her family as well as others suffering from this terrible disease in your heart and prayers.

My Sister's Keeper

Today Lisa and I went to spend some quality time together and we saw My Sister's Keeper. If you have not seen it you should take 3 hours worth of Kleenex with you. I cried the entire time... imagine that! Great show and it was great to see with my sister! Love you Lisa!

A day with my husband

Today was a wonderful day! First I got up and went to the gym at 8 am. Yep, even on a Saturday. I missed yesterday for a massage so I switched for today. I lifted weights for an hour and then I did 40 minutes of cardio. I started with 20 minuted but I was engrossed with the funeral of Teddy Kennedy on TV so I kept working. I wanted to see the President give the Eulogy so I went over to the clubhouse and finished watching the funeral. After that I took care of a couple of work items before heading home.

Once I got home I hopped in the shower to get ready for the day. I invited my husband to dinner and a movie, my treat. Lisa offered to watch TJ so we had some time to ourselves. We went to see Harry Potter which was very good. After the movie we spent 20 minutes playing Mrs. Pacman and that was all on 50 cents! Once we left the movie theatre we went to dinner at Dickie BBQ, it's not my favorite but it was all about Tex today.

We then headed back to Lisa's to pick up Tristan. We decided to stop at Mor Furniture because we are thinking about getting a king sized bed. Needless to say they had nothing that we liked. We decided to go for a drive into the foothill and it was beautiful. There was a thunderstorm in town and we actually got a picture of the lightening. We also found a house that was having a BSU party, you can tell from the huge football helmet blown up in front of their house! TJ was chillin in the back watching the Thomas The Train video that his cousin Colin gave him.

All in all, it was a great day!

Family Fun Day at the 2009 State Fair

Sheree and I had been planing on taking the kids to the Fair and today was the day. Tex decided to join us too.

We ran into Huggy the clown, you had to give him a hug to get one of his stickers... Creepy!
We all decided to have a bit of lunch, you now we were all holding out for some fair food! Sheree chose a Pita (is a Pita Fair Food)?

Tex had chosen Nacho's, not really fair food either in my opinion!

Me, on the other hand, I chose a German hot dog with sauerkraut, MMMMMMMMM.
There was a picture but I think I deleted it, sorry Sheree.

After lunch we were off to the petting zoo. We were greeted by the Hairy Cow, otherwise known as the West Highland Cow from Scotland. Patti and I fell in love with these cows when we went to Scotland. We loved them so much that Patti bought me a small stuffed Hairy Cow as a surprise. I sent the stuffed animal with her on her trip to India and Tasha decided to eat Hairy Cow. Patti had to do surgery to bring the Hairy Cow back to life. Hairy Cow now adorns my window in our bedroom. Needless to say, we love Hairy Cow's.

Paige got some grain to feed the animals and showed Tristan how to feed them.

Paige went on a pony ride, Tristan did not want to go because we tried to get a picture of him on the Brahma Bull and he was having nothing to do with it. So we did not push the issue.

We headed over to Splash Dogs. Paige and Sheree had seen them before and Paige wanted to see them again.

Tex wanted to walk down the isle's of the booth's, you know the shopper that he is.

We found this cool fountain, Tristan decided he needed to get a drink out of it, it was kind of cute, but kind of gross too.

Here is the new hot tub that Tex is going to buy us! I WISH!

While we were shopping for hot tubs, Paige went and got her face painted. Cute!

So the one thing that we did not do that I really wanted to do was hit the amusement park. Tex wanted to go to the horse barn so we went that way. Sheree and Paige went and hit the rides. That was one thing I really wanted to do with Tristan. I know there will be plenty of more opportunities. It was a very fun day!

Ann Morison Park

OK all you "stalkers", if finally happened. This weekend was pretty uneventful. Tex, Hanna, TJ and I layed pretty low. Saturday morning we went to breakfast/lunch then went for a drive. We came home for Tristan's nap and then we decided to go to Ann Morrison Park to the fountain. Tristan was not to eager to get in but we had some quality family time anyway!

TJ meets the geese.... live!
