Lava Java, pool & Beach

Pretty low key day today. Had breakfast at my favorite place... any one who has been here with me has spent plenty of time at Lava Java. The food and drink are great, the view is even better. Many laughs and tears have unfolded here with many of you! I cherish every memory!

You know, when I was younger my Dad was in charge of opening the coconuts. I remember it taking him a few minutes. Well, since Dad and Sue are in Cabo I decided to give it a shot. I started yesterday. It got so annoying that Tristan and I gave up. Today was a new day!

My helper.

FINALLY!

Time to try it out.

TJ was not a fan : (
That's OK, the experience was worth every second!

Time to go swimming.

Back to the beach even though it is raining : )

We capped off the evening by watching the waves roll in as the sunset.
15-20 footers.
Winter swell has arrived!

Southern most point of the island & Green Sands Beach

This has really been a family trip. With Dad & Sue in Cabo and Auntie Patti hosting her own function at her house, we have been doing a lot of new things together. Today we talked Patti into joining us for a trip to the southern most part of the United States. Many times I have driven past but because you have to have a four wheel drive I have never been. With Patti having a four wheel drive and the experience we were off. Little did I know what a spectacular day it would turn out to be.

Loved the fruit stands on the side of the road.

Almost there!

One way in... One way out...

We made it to the southern tip. With the winter swell coming in the water was high and rough.

The lava tube was to high to jump in, oh, and might I add it is about a 40 foot drop.

This is the other side of the lava tube. People will jump in the tube and be pulled out to the see but the water was just too high today. Stunningly beautiful though

Off to the Green Sands Beach

It is a long a rough road. Takes about an hour in four low.  Tristan was a bit scared on the way in because it was so bumpy.

Oh yea, we are going through that!

Which way to go?
Decisions, decisions?

Auntie and TJ decided to walk for a bit.

Almost there! This photo does it no justice at all!

Nice work driver!

Short hike down the cliffs.

Once we made it to the beach the energy was amazing. We are seeing something today that many will never see. I was on such a natural high all day it was amazing. The waves in the ocean, the sparkle in the sand was simply indescribable, to share this with my family was priceless.
I am so blessed.

TJ surfing!

Even Tex got in the water.

Way in!

This is one of those days I will cherish forever!
So simple.
It was perfect.

On our way home we stopped at a Coffee Farm along the highway that housed a few "exotic" animals. Apparently they have been here for years but I have never seen them. The animals were so beautiful, you could tell they were loved and not just there for show. What a joy!

Buffalo's, Zebras, & Texas Long Horned Oh my!

We were able to stop and watch the sunset!
Tex always get the most amazing shots!

We capped the night off with a great meal at the Fish Hopper, and yes... you guessed it, a Shave Ice for desert!
