HE'S OURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, today was the day. It seemed like the finalization went as swift as Tristan finding us! We showed up at the courthouse about 920 and waited for our attorney. He was in room 401 in another adoption.

Once we went in our attorney briefed us on what to expect. He ran us through the series of questions that he was going to ask and then the judge came in and we were on our way. Of course things got teary when the judge asked how did Tristan come into our life. I told he all about being in Mexico and the very morning I got home I received a phone called stating that our son was born the previous Friday. I could not hold it together. What really touched me was when our attorney asked Tex hos he felt about Tristan and Tex just started to sob, he could not even talk! I love Tex so much! I am so lucky to have him! After the hearing the judge posed for pictured with us.

I'll bet that is a great part of her job! There are so many kids that are not wanted and then to see children adopted to wonderful families has got to be great.

We were very fortunate that mom and Dani could make it! Thanks for sharing in our moment, I know many more of you are with us in "spirit". We love and thank you all.

We heard from the attorney

Well, the date is set! Friday May 16, 2008 at 9:30 am we will be at the Ada County Courthouse to finalize our adoption! Tristan Jacoby will officially become a Horton. We are so excited for this process to be finalized. We new it was only going through the motions but just knowing it will be final is great!

We would like any of our friends and family to come that can make it. It will be a very happy occasion!

Camera's and video are fine!

Yesturday we went to Blakes Baseball game.

After Tex got home we went to watch Blake's baseball game.

There were some friends there that we had not seen in some time. Rick and Sam Pena and their kids. Of course everyone was all "gaga" over Tristan so I caught up with Donna a little bit. It was so nice to see everyone.!

Sam really hit it off with Tristan, she was making him giggle! He just could not stop. It was so cute!

Roll over, roll over.

Ok, here is a video that is real cute but I do not have the updated version on quick time player to rotate it, sorry.

Last week, what a week!

So Tristan and I went shopping last week and bought some clothes at Gymboree for our family pictures this weekend. I am so excited to get these pictures done. We will have Hanna and Garrett too and we are taking them at the Depot, the place we were married 6 years ago in June. It will be very special! Here is our finds. Tristan is going to wear the outfit on the top left for the pictures. It has cute little surfing monkeys on it: )

  1. On a not so happy note, Tristan and I were on our way home from shopping and we were rear ended on Fairview and Cole. We were both ok but we were a bit shook up. Not much damage to the truck, we won't even report it. The funny thing is it was one of my BM residents...lol. What are the chances?

Attorney News....

Well, we heard from the attorney. I was starting to get a little nervous since I had not heard from him in a couple weeks. I new they were waiting to hear from the agency in Georgia and I was just a tiny bit worried. The good news is he called yesterday and things were going better than expected. The judge was happy with all documents provided by our attorney and we are just waiting for a date to be in court. I would love for as many of you to be here as possible for that and join us in the court room. That will be a very special day!

I CAN'T WAIT!

PS Auntie Selena..... we missed you this weekend!

Busy Week

Well, it is the first of the month again and in the apartment world that is our busy time.

Saturday
The weekend brought great fun, however, no pictures:( Saturday we went to breakfast at IHOP. I had stuffed french toast for the first time. Oh my gosh it was good! Then we came home and took a bit of a nap. Tex wanted to go to Target to look for a rug he has been trying to find. We went to the one in Eagle and there was nothing there, then we went to the one in Nampa, yes, Nampa I don't know why but Tex wanted to go to the one in Nampa so that is what we did. It was about 11 when we got home so we went to bed.

Sunday
Tex has been wanting to go to the parade of homes so we went and got tickets and hit 5 of the homes. They are immaculate ranging anywhere from 300K to 2+Million. HOLY CRAP! After previewing the houses we went to Maggie Moo's for ice cream, I love Maggie Moo's! Cotton Candy Ski Jump,MMMMMMMMM. It was Great!

Monday
I went to work as usual after taking Garrett to school. When I was done I went home and Tex and I went to Big Bun for lunch and then we went and saw Juno. OH MY GOSH IT WAS FABULOUS! I LOVED IT! If you have been involved in adoption at all you can just multiply the emotions by a million. It is a must see!
After Juno we went and looked at 5 more houses in the parade of homes. Only one was as spectacular as the first day. I can't wait to look as some more.
When we got home we had to talk to Garrett. It was not a nice chat but needed. Garrett has started spending some time with a kid named Jade, Garrett wanted to spend the night this weekend but did not let us know until 10 pm. He did not understand that we would like to meet this person and at least know where he lives. Garret translated that as "I will bring Jade over at 10 pm for my parents to meet". Which does not work either. So needless to say we got a lot of things out on the table and hopefully we can have a smooth ride now until the end of the school year. I will keep you posted.
After Garret went to bed I went out to check the temp on the pool as I turned the heater on Friday night. Holy cow it was warm, 88 degrees, that was an oops but it was fun because Tex and I got in the pool and then in the hot tub before we went to bed. It was fun!

Today :)
I went to work as usual. Once I got home I played with Tristan until he was ready to take a nap. Once he went down I got in the pool, oh it was nice! 82 degrees. I swam for about an hour and then got out to do some work. Boy we are fortunate! I have a great life!
