Day 1 Idaho Falls

So the Niederer's were sick so we decided to get a hotel room at the Ameritel in Idaho Falls. Here are a couple shots of our room.

Heather, Selena and I decided to all hook up for dinner. Our plan was to go to Texas Roadhouse but the wait time was 2 hours. Selena had a brilliant idea, we ordered it to go and came back to the hotel lobby to eat. This worked perfectly since Texas Roadhouse was right best door to our hotel. We spent a couple hours catching up and just hanging out, it was great!

A busy Friday.

Today we are headed to Idaho Falls. My friend Selena and her sister Sumerli are home from Salt Lake. You may remember Sumerli, she is my best friends little sister who has had heart trouble after giving birth to her second child a daughter. I am so excited to get to see them!

After my workout I came home so Tex could do some work before we headed out. About 11 am there was a knock at my door. On the other side of the door was a delivery driver with these beautiful flowers. All of my favorites, Calla Lillies, Yellow Roses, with a touch of tropical. My love has not sent me flowers in a long time. Thank you honey!





Earlier in the week my order from Pampered Chef arrived. The FedEx driver said there were 5 boxes. Only two showed up earlier in the week. When no other boxes arrived I decided to open the boxes that did come. These two boxes were the complete order, who knows what the driver was talking about? These are my favorite pieces, bamboo serving plates for entertaining... love them!


Today I decided to make Tex his favorite cake for Valentine's Day. He has had this this for red velvet cake. I printed off a recipe from the Internet and picked up the ingredients this morning. TJ was a sleep so I had time to make it. I called my friend Kari to ask for some pointers, when Kari figured out that I was making the cake from scratch she said "put that stuff away and go buy a box". Nice vote of confidence Kari. Well truth be known Kari was right the cake was beautiful but it tastes like crap, sorry honey. It was the thought that counts.

Jo, you will be missed.

Last week my step mom notified us that one of our dear friends was transported to Honolulu and was not doing very well. He name is Jo Taylor (left). That very after noon we received another e-mail that Jo had actually passed away that morning.

I first met Jo on one of our trip abroad with my parents chorus group from Hawaii. I will always remember her from her beautiful, long, silver hair, and her sparkling smile.

If you are not familiar with the Hawaiian culture, they are very family oriented. Even though I began traveling with this group before I met Tex, and then later as Tex and I both began to travel with this group, we were quickly welcomed into this wonderful chorus family. Jo was one of those who really put herself out there to make you feel welcome.

Even though I only new Jo from traveling with my parents group, she has always had a special place in my heart! Jo was always very supportive of Tex and I when we got married and even more so when dad has his accident.

I have spent the last week searching for her obituary to no avail. So I would just like to say...

A kindred spirit moves on.

As many of you know my sister Patti moved to Hawaii about 5 years ago. Patti up and sold everything she owned in order to move, gave up her horses and off she went.

Sage was Patti's first horse and they had a very special connection. Patti's intent was always to buy Sage back and bring him to Hawaii to retire on the lush island grass. Patti finally found time to make the phone call to the current owners only to find that Sage had been put down last year.

In Memoriam

It was with great sadness that we received the news that Sage passed away on December 4, 2008. Sage, also known as Total Eclipse, belonged to India Graham. We offer India our deepest sympathy. Sage has been a schoolmaster extraordinaire at KMC Farm for the past many years.

He first came to us through Gilien Pearson to become Meredith Kahn's horse. After teaching Meredith for several years, he was sold to Jamie Kalff. Jamie was able to learn countless lessons from Sage and excelled in the equitation arena. He was then sponsored by Trevor Smith, during which time he found his passion for jumpers. For the last year or so he belonged to India Graham. We are so sorry that India's time with Sage has been cut short. Sage has touched the hearts of everyone at our barn with his gentle disposition and will to please. He will be greatly missed.

Sage, you are greatly missed!

Super Bowl Sunday Saints Vs Colts

Today is Super Bowl Sunday. No extravagant party, no friends... just us. I am going for the Saints because I am an underdog fan and what a story they are! I made the dip from the Pampered chef Party. It was yummy!

Baby Shower

It's a girl! Eric's girlfriend Lisa is having a girl. It was time to celebrate at her shower. It was held at one of her friends houses in Meridian with lots of food, friends, family and fun!

"I Got A feeling"

A few months ago I down loaded "I Got A Felling" by The Black Eyed Peas. One day I played it in the car and Tristan just started rocking out. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. Tonight The Black Eyed Peas sang on the Grammy's so I thought I would try to record it. It is in short sections so I can load it on to blogger.
