Pacific Bound.
What a day! We were supposed to leave this morning at 6 am, fly to San Francisco and then after an hour and a half layover land on the Big Island at 11 am. Last night at 1 am Buddie started barking. As always I checked my phone when I walked by it. there were two missed calls and two messages. Both were from United. You 6 am flight has been cancelled and we have booked you on another flight. The new flight left at 840 bound for LA, then we had a 9 hour layover in LA and then flew into Kona by 9 pm. This was a far cry from the straight shot we had originally planned! All in all, Tristan really did great!

Happy Birthday My Love!
Today is my loves birthday. Garrett offered to watch Tristan so I could take Tex to a movie. We went to the IMAX and saw Alice In Wonderland in 3D. It was awesome!

When we got home I had picked up Tex a cake yesterday. Garrett and I lit the candles and took it up to Tex to sing him happy birthday. Tristan helped blow out the candles.

Look Dad, he is carrying his own gear!
First I need to thank Sheree. Sheree invited me to go skiing last weekend and even though she bailed I am so excited about skiing again! Second I need to thank my parents for giving me all of these great opportunities that I can't wait to pass on to my son!
Today was another of many firsts! My little man hit the slopes at 2 years old! This was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Ski backward (thanks dad) for two hours in a tuck and I have been lifting for 8 months! My quads are screaming as we speak! Tristan's only problem was that mom had to stop so often! Next trip I will have the "leash".
The day was absolutely beautiful! 40 degrees, no one there. We rode the "belt" first. Once and only once. Then we moved up to the chair lift. We rode the one during the summer at Brundage so I was not too nervous today!
