Happy Mother's Day
What a wonderful mother's day. I think my favorite surprise that Tex kind of disclosed was the gift Tristan made for me at pre-school. I love the choice we made for our pre-school! They have activities every day and this was one of them. It was a little hand print with a cute little poem next to it. I guess I should start my little box now, the box with all my keepsakes from my little boy! I love being a mom!

We stopped by to spend some time with mom. She was not feeling great, we were supposed to go out for dinner but we postponed it till later this week.

Cat Scan Results
Boy, am I ready for this week to be over! We got the results yesterday, they were all normal. The doctor thinks it is just celluliteus. Which is bacteria in the blood. Tristan is still on antibiotics and we are just supposed to keep an eye on him.
Thanks for all your prayers!

Sugarland with Dano
Dani and I have had tickets for Sugarland for some time. I was not to excited at first but I have been terribly excited for about the last 10 days. Surprisingly there were not a lot of people there, but Dani and I had a fabulous time! We don't always get to spend a lot of time together anymore and it was nice to catch up! We had such a great time we laughed until we could not laugh anymore! We did not have great seats but we were able to move since there were many open seats. Sugarland did not disappoint, they put on a great show!

Cat Scan
Today was a very stressful day. we were to check in at St Lukes by 1230 for Tristan's cat scan. They gave us both wrist bands and sent us into the waiting room. It was about time for Tristan's nap so everything was relatively uneventful until they decided to ut in the IV. Tristan had fallen asleep and the nurse had previoously put some numbing cream on the IV locations.
The instant she started digging aroubd he woke up hysterically. The bad thing was she not only missed the first try but also the second try. I was beside myself. They ended up calling another nurse in who used the other hand, the one he suck his fingers on. Of course that did not go over well. This nurse had him straddle me and I had to hold him down. It was terrible.
By the time we made it into the scan room both Tristan and I were exhausted. Grant, the Cat Scan Tech was great! He actually offered to try the scan without having to sedate Tristan. This made me very happy. Tristan layed so still, he was great.
I am so glad this day is over. We did not receive any results yet. I figure no news is good news.
Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!

A week of Caos and frustration and it is only Tuesday...
This week has been horrendous. After having TJ in the ER Friday night, the weekend went relatively well. Monday Julie came over to watch Tristan and Tex and I were off to work as normal. I had the worst day ever. My infamous pool company, Pristine Pools, proved to be the worst pool company ever. I just can't believe how bad they dropped the ball and how pissed off I actually was.
Later that day Julie called and said the Tristan was now crying over his Left leg, no not the right leg he was seen for Friday night but now it was the left leg. Exact same symptoms but now the left leg. I already had a appointment scheduled for today so I picked up TJ from Day Care and we were off.
The doctor was not sure what was wrong with Tristan but if there is a threat of infection she want to make sure that it is not. The Dr advised us the Tristan needed a Cat Scan. I was so not prepared for this! It went from heading for the Cat Scan today to it being at 730 tomorrow am because they might have to sedate him. Needless to say my mind is not wandering trying to figure out what is going on.
Tristan continues to seem fine. He does favor his leg on occasion and is running around just like crazy. The Cat Scan is now tomorrow at 1230 and will take about 3 hours. I will update tomorrow.

Twilight Clasic
A busy two weeks.
Two weeks ago I was in a softball tournament with some of our friends. That Sunday I got very sick. So much so I could hardly swallow. I thought it might be strep so I went to the doctor. They said it was throat ulcers, probably brought on by stress. That pretty much layed me up for a week.
This week my assistant at the office had the lap band surgery (yes, the same one I am having). They tell you to plan about a week off so I have been covering the office. Tristan managed to get sick this week and I thought that he probably had what I had. The day care had called and said that Tristan was sick. Tex picked him up and then last night when I got home from work at 8... Tex and Tristan were bundled up. Tex told me that Tristan hurt his leg, he was not sure how? When Tristan got up he could hardly walk on his right leg. I immediately said lets go to the doctor. We drove around trying to find a doc in the box open and we had no luck. Tristan was now throwing up all over the back seat and trying not to put any pressure on his leg. I was getting frustrated because he was in pain and Tex was frustrated because I was getting cranky. I finally called mom to see if she could help us find and ER with our a long wait. Mom came through like a charm.
We went to the Eagle St Lukes ER. There we proceeded to get thrown up on even more. While explaining to the doctor what was up with TJ this week we saw that his right leg, just under his knee was very swollen. We could not figure it out? The doctor thought it might be an abscess, since he had had those before we were not surprised. The doctor did and ultrasound and found nothing. A short time later the nurse came in and gave Tristan some anti nausea medicine and it wasn't long after that he was out. Drop dead asleep on the table. I was supposed to try to wake him up to give him something to drink but he wouldn't have it. The doctor came in later and said that he was just going to treat it with some antibiotic. So we were off to Walgreen.
Well, to make an already long story shorter, Tristan woke up today and seemed much happier. He held down the Pedialite and some peaches. He was even walking better on the leg. The swelling has gone down quit a bit. Just after Tristan and I had a bath I was off to a ball game.
