The Farm

3 generations of Welters

The last time I saw my Grandmother was in September of 2002. I had tagged along with Dad & Sue for a much needed visit. I have always hated that our family is so spread apart. We were able to spend some good quality time on the farm. I was able to see my Uncle Glen and my Uncle Gary. You can't tell they are brothers can you? : )

I will always remember my Grandma at the farm! i am so thankful for that! I will remember her in the kitchen making us meals, picking tomatoes from the garden and slicing them for lunch, and my favorite, the homemade salad dressing that I never seem to be able to reproduce.

It was really important for me to go to the cemetery. I wanted to see were Grandpa was buried. I never really get to see that since we are spread so far apart. Dad took me by all of our relatives in the cemetery. It was so beautiful.

Tex, Tristan and I were going to go back to Minnesota this summer with Dad and Sue, then Dad had the accident and of course a few things changed. I wanted Tex and Tristan to meet Grandma so bad. She was such a wonderful woman. I wanted them to get to see the farm, and spend some time with Grandma. I am so sorry we did not make it. When Grandma took a turn for the worse, Tex asked me if I wanted to go back, I told him that I couldn't because this was how I wanted to remember Grandma, it's a bit selfish but I know Grandma will always be with us, she will be watching over all of us now.

I love you Grandma!

Dad & Sue are back!

Well, it is Christmas time and I am so happy that Dad & Sue are back. It has been pretty stressful around here these days with everything going on and I have been so looking forward to spending some time with them. We have all been so busy that I am looking forward to some quality time with them at Tamarack! They arrived yesterday and Sue has been shopping feverishly for the weeks ahead. Tonight they took me out for a birthday dinner to the Cheesecake Factory. I have since fallen in love with their chicken picata. I had it during our work Christmas Party and I have been craving it ever since! MMMMMMMM it is sooo goood! This was really the first time I got to sit down with Sue and chat, it was so nice. I am looking forward to spending some quality time with everyone up there. Lesa and Johnnie are coming and Lisa W and Patti are already here! It will be fun!

Wow, FUN, that is a word that we have not said in a while!

We will be short a few family members, and though they are not here they will not be far from our hearts!

Merry Christmas, enjoy your family this year!

Lord Of The Dance

Tonight we went to Lord of the Dance. Dani and I have wanted to go for a year. We had 4th row center seats and it was just amazing! We all went to Apple Bee's first for some appetizers and then we headed to the Morrison Center. The show was absolutely breath taking. The funny thing was I thought I had never been before and about half way through the show I felt like I was in a De Ja Vu experience, so when I came home I looked through my ticket stud stack, (yes, I collect all of my ticket stub's), and I had seen it in 2005. Crazy!

Happy Birthday to me!

Well, another year has passed and I am another year younger! I am going down rather than up. Last night when I got home from dinner with Sheree Tex was baking chocolate mint cookie for me. It was very sweet! We hung out in the kitchen to watch the end of The Biggest Looser then went up stairs. When we got up stairs the door was closed, I opened the door and there was a new recliner for me, and a new area rug in front of our chairs. the funny thing is Tex kept joking with me about getting me a chair because I sat in his more than mine, now I have my own.

Tonight, Tex took me to dinner at Fiesta Guadalajara. Then we went to Krispy Kreame........mmmmmmm. Just what we needed. Then he sang me the Marilyn Munroe version of Happy Birthday. Oh yes, can you just see it! It was hilarious!

Thanks to all of you with the well wishes!

Getting ready for Christmas

Well, last weekend we were off to Tamarack. It was time to put the finishing touches on the house for Christmas. Tex, Tristan and I drove up in the first snow storm of the year. It was pretty bad. The roads were snow covered and slick. I think Tamarack got about 13 inches while we were there. We went up on Saturday and then came back on Sunday. We went up with a truck load, all of the bedding and towels. Tex and I got the beds made then we went into McCall to find a tree.

We ate dinner at the pancake house. We had some great chicken fried steak and listened to a great country singer that was performing in the restaurant. The outside was so pretty with the snow falling!

We saw Santa and Mrs Clause: )

We took our Christmas pictures.

Here are a few shots of the house dad bought right before the accident. This is were were are all spending Christmas.

Mark is Off to Afghanistan....

After a nine day delay, our friend Mark is off to Afghanistan. Mark was laid off in the tough economy and decided to head to Afghanistan to do electrical work on the bases. Our friends Kimmie, Mark's girlfriend is here and we are all here for you! We are praying for you both and Mark's safe return.

WE LOVE YOU!

Thanks Sheree!

Last night Sheree took me to dinner at Chandler's Steak House for my birthday! It was so nice, I have been so stressed out with everything that it was nice to be just with her, no kids, no boys, no stress just girls catching up! Thanks for the fun night.

P.S. Thanks for the Diffuser!
