Viva Las Vegas

About 3 or 4 months ago, our friends Johnny & Sheree asked us to go to Vegas for a Steelhead Hockey game. It just happened to be the weekend before Tex's birthday so I thought why not combine the two his birthday and great friends!

Saturday we were off to Vegas. Yes, Tristan went too! We stayed at the New York New York Hotel. Unfortunately, the guys who was supposed to get us the tickets for the hockey game did not come through but we went out to hit the town anyway. We had dinner at a buffet on the strip and did some walking. We saw the lions at the MGM and stopped by the Rainforest Cafe. We stopped at the M & M store where Sheree and I were getting friendly with the green and the blue M & M. I love the couple of shots that I got of the little M & M die casts (the roller coaster & the surfer).

After hitting the town we headed back to our room. I surprised Tex with a Spa Suite so we made Tristan his bed, (in the shower), and I settled in for a jetted bath.

Tristan is well on his way! We give him a fork every once in a while, he is doing great! See for yourself: )

Our fist softball practice...

So, today was supposed to be our first softball practice right? Sheree, Johnny, Tex and I all hurried down from Tamarack after breakfast specifically to get to practice. It was a beautiful drive all the way down, partly cloudy, a little chilly but not to bad. We had just enough time to unload the car and get to practice... just in time for this.

A BLIZZARD!

Well, the die hards showed up! Tex stayed home with Tristan. When I arrived Johnny & Sheree were the only one's there, Jules was not far behind and then came Kimmie.

Johnny, Jules and I were throwing the ball around and Sheree got out of the car only to take pictures for the blog!

Tristan said, "I love you" today!

Ok, so Johnny, Sheree, Paige, Tex, Tristan and I were at the townhouse at Tamarack cooking dinner. Johnny & Sheree were cooking and I was playing with Tristan at the table. Tristan was sitting on the table and we were rubbing our foreheads together just talking. I said I love you and a swear to God he said it back. I said, oh my gosh, did you guys hear that? They all looked at each other like hear what? I said Tristan said I love you! they all think I am just hearing things but I swear he said it! It was amazing!

Being a mother is such a wonderful and fulfilling experience. Everyday I thank God for the family and friends that I am blessed with. We are so fortunate! Cherish each day because you never know when it could change!

Fun in the mountains!

This morning we woke up and Tex made us breakfast. While we were awaiting breakfast the kids were playing together. Paige got cold. I said Paige, you know what my older brother did when he was a kid when he was cold? He would lay over the heat vent with his blanket. Paige really like this! Thanks Steve!



After breakfast we went and got in the hot tub. It was so nice out. It would have been a beautiful day for skiing, but it was nice to relax!



After a dip in the hot tub we all got ready and headed to the tubing hill in McCall. OMG, this was a blast! We had so much fun! Tristan was too small so Tex decided to just watch him play in the snow and believe me he had a great time!

After tubing we went into McCall and got some ice cream and coffee. This was such a great day!
