I want to see Grandma!

OK, so we went to see Grandma. All morning long Tristan was asking to see Grandma. Grandma also wanted to see Tristan so she could give him his Valentine's so we headed over to mom's house too hang out for a bit. Grandma and Tristan shared some quality "castle" building time (at least that is what Tristan calls it).

Thanks Dr. Dudley!

A little BSU - Idaho basketball thanks to Dr. Dudley! My Chiropractor was out of town so he gave us two of his tickets to see the rivalry game between BSU & Idaho. Great game, back and forth the entire game and, yes, we came out on top. Oh, did I mention the seats we center court front row, thanks Dr. Dudley!

We are a strange nation, but we are Bronco Nation!
Dr. Dudley gave his other tickets to the other Dr in his office, Dr. Weed. This is a picture of Dr. Weed's 4 year old asleep underneath the seats during the fourth quarter... too cute!

Nampa Indoor Triathlon

So, there is kind of a funny story behind this. About a month ago Sheree and Christy found this tri for me. when I called to register they said they were full but there was a waiting list. I asked the gal on the phone how many people were in front of me. She said that I was number 13, well as you all know... 13 is my number. I told her, "I will see you on race day". She laughed!

About 10 days ago I received a phone call from the Nampa Rec Center. when they told me who they were I said, I am in aren't I? I told the person on the other end of the phone my story and they laughed too.

Race day finally came around and it hit me that I was doing this race by myself. Tex had to go get Hanna and so he kept Tristan too. Sheree and Christy headed up to McCall, hello, they found the race... what the hell. But it's all good. I was in the 4th wave and did not get into the water until 1 pm. Since I was by myself you are not blessed with any photo's, sorry.

I had a projected finish time of 2 hours 10 minutes. I had a personal goal of completing the race under 2 hours. The swim went pretty well. I was a little worked up for about the first four laps wondering what was the people in the lanes adjacent to me were doing. I finally settled down and set into a rhythm. 18 laps later I was off to the bike. The girl on the bike next to me was about a mile and a half in front of me. I spent 20 minutes trying to catch her but to no avail. Once I completed 10 miles it was off to a four mile run. 20 laps, 20 laps on an indoor track. My goal was to maintain a constant pace. I did just that. I was on lap 17 when, over the music ringing through my ears, I hear "way to go Bob". I new that voice anywhere. It was my friend Dano. We had planned to meet afterwords but I did not expect Dani to make it before I was done. It was nice to have someone there! Thank Dano!

When all was said and done I finished 15 minute ahead of my projected finish time. I was very happy with my finish time!

A stop by Cascade...

We got to spend some time with Jerrod, Angela and the kids this weekend. We don't get to see them often so this was a nice change. We took them their Christmas gifts, it was a very Blue & Orange Christmas for them, if you know what I mean: )

I love this picture of Jerrod and Hailey!

The kids played great together!
Brett is such a Q-T!
Look at those future BSU players!

It was great to just get to hang out!

Winter Carnival McCall, Id 2011

Well, you guessed it! This made Tristan's day! Thomas The Train hit McCall in the form of an ice sculpture! The only problem was we spent the rest of the day looking for Percy, another engine from the Thomas series, unfortunately, Percy was no where to be found. We did, however, find some more ice sculptures!

Does this give you an idea of how big Thomas was? That is Tex on top of the snow pile.

Hello, a snow cone in the middle of winter????

Tristan wanted to ride a pony, and he didn't chicken out!

This sculpture was in front of The Mill. It was so funny. It is an outhouse with a bear looking in on the guy on the right. On the left was just a toilet, you can see the fun the visitor's were having with the sculpture!

This sculpture won Grand Champion. It was a series of sculptures in front of the wood carvers building. They were absolutely amazing. These pictures just don't do them justice.

After spending the day in McCall, we headed back to Tamarack for some dinner and hot tub time! Another wonderful day!

Just us!

A few weeks ago Tex asked me to check with Sue to see if the townhouse was available. He wanted to take me up to the winter festival in McCall. We came up Thursday night and just hung out for the night. Friday morning we got up and had breakfast, I made Tex breakfast in bed. After breakfast we got in the hot tub for a bit before hitting the mountain. Tristan was a trooper today! He had a blast on the hill! It was a beautiful day too. After about an hour and a half Tristan was ready to go. Tex took a couple more runs while I took Tristan to the truck and then they went into McCall. I on the other hand, headed up the mountain to get some quality skiing in. It was absolutely amazing!

So, I asked Tristan what the best part of his day was while we were on the chair lift... and he said, "you mommy". OMG my heart just melted! I love being a mom!

After a fun filled day of skiing, we headed into McCall for the opening ceremonies of the winter carnival and the fireworks that followed. We met Jerrod, Angela, and the kids there too. It was a great fireworks display!

After we got home we started up a fire and roasted some marshmallows. What an absolutely wonderful day! Thanks honey! I love you!
