Headed back to Portland

Today we head back to Portland after a quick stop att the carousel. We stopped on the way to see one of Sheree's friends for a great lunch and spend the night for a little shopping, a 7 Eleven Slurpee and a little bit of gaming. Needless to say the ride home was exhausting!

Another super fun trip! And we got almost all of the the license plates in the US! So close!

Sea Side ropes course

Today started out with morning snuggles for Sheree <3 I just love these two!

We decided to venture off shopping before heading to our afternoon at the ropes course with the kids. The kids took a virtual reality ride which was a little anticlimactic, and then we stopped for some elephant ears.

The ropes course did not appear to be much of a challange for these two until they attempted the final drop. What you don't see here are the failed attempts it took to get to the jumping point. I am so proud of both of them for overcoming their fears!

This morning while shopping I picked them up both a little suprise. When they were little we would get them these little excavation kits. Todays find would be stones and a geode. I love that they still love them.

After they finished the treasure hunt we headed down to the beach, we watched the bubble man and took some sunset photos. A little too windy for a fire but still fun!

Scouting out Seaside

Today we spent some much needed time outside exploring. First we headed to the aquarium, they had the cutest seal exhibit. We got to feed them and watch them play. The aquarium was small but informative. We headed to the the Ship Wreck Peter Iredale and along the way we ran into the coastal elk we have heard so much about. I have never seen elk on the coast so this was a treat. The Peter Iredale

"Without a doubt the most iconic shipwreck on the Oregon coast, the wreck of the Peter Iredale is found just beyond a parking area at Fort Stevens State Park. Only the steel hull remains of the 275-foot sailing ship, which ran aground in 1906. The ship made it to the mouth of the Columbia River through a shroud of fog, but was turned around by a strong wind while waiting for a pilot, hitting Clatsop Beach so hard that three of its four masts snapped on impact."

Once we arrived back at the hotel we had reservations to go to the pool... yes, I said reservations. Because that is what happened in the middle of a pandemic. We had a time slot that did not include the hot tub. The pool is heated but not enough for me. I stayed out on the deck in my down coat. As if that was not cold enough we decided to get ice cream : ) It was another super fun day!

Freedom!!! Spring Break 2021

This year for spring break we were supposed to be on a cruise to the Caribbean thanks to Covid that Cruise did not happen. When Sheree and Paige invited us with them on their trip to the coast I was totally in! This road trip came equipped with great friends, hand sanitizer, and snacks! What more could a girl ask for! It was just us and the kids so the boys stayed home.

The drive was long but fun! We played the license plate game, car bingo, we sang songs, listened to great music. On the way we stopped for burger, Multnomah Falls was open so we made the short hike, Then stopped at Voodoo Doughnuts. So good!

The trip would not be complete without a couple penny machines! These two have been getting these for as long as I can remember. I love that they still do it!

Once we arrived and checked in we ventured out in the rain to hit Mo's fir dinner and spent the rest of the night playing games in the room!
