The Village Tree Lighting

Today we spent the day decorating for Christmas! After a busy day with lights, tree's and leftover's we thought it might be fun to head down to the tree lighting. Tristan picked The Village vs downtown this year. It was just Auntie, TJ and I as Tex was into watching football : ) The night was chilly but very festive with carolers, dancers and more!

What would a festive night be without a trip to the candy store, and look who decided to join us :)

Now my night is complete.

Giving Thanks

Today is Thanksgiving and we enjoyed spending time with those who could be with us today. I try to give thanks each and every day but I also enjoy the closeness the holiday brings. Today we celebrated with Mom, Lisa, Eric, Billie Jean, Lakota, Raven, Haden, Tex and Tristan. It was another fabulous year to be thankful for!

This note that Tristan wrote has been on his dry erase board for a few months. I can't believe I got a picture of it before he changed it but I am so glad I did. Just in case you need help with the translation... here it is.

The first snow fall

Friday we had our first measurable snowfall of the season. It was a bit early this year but it was Sunday before we really got a chance to play in it as we were shoveling most of the week. 

Tristan had a friend over this morning who invited us out to sled this afternoon. We invited The Hermies. It was a great day until we got home, had hot chocolate and the kids were playing and Harper ran into the wall and we ended up at the emergency room getting stitches. * in all. Harper was a trooper though! So glad she is ok!
