SNEAK PEAK

On the 18th we had family pictures done by Tiffany Hix, a local "life" photographer. She puts a picture on her blog just to tease us. It is a must see! I can't wait to see the rest! Here is her site.

Another day of rest.

Sunday was so nice. We all got up and pretty much did our own things. dad and Sue went for a club bike ride. Steve, Gail and the kids went for a bike ride and Tex and I went for a hike while Lisa watched Tristan.

Tex is so funny! During our hike he was collecting walking sticks. At one point he had to pull one out of the creek and then he lifted a log and dropped it over the creek so he could get to the other side. He is so silly.

In the afternoon we dropped Hanna and Garrett off on the zip line they had the time of their life. It was great for them. They went together without us and really had a bonding experience! It was so nice to see. When we got home from picking up Hanna and Garrett there was a fox right outside our cabin, Tex got some great pictures of it.

After everyone got home Tex made a great steak dinner. After dinner it was time for smores!
What a great weekend!

A walk throught the neighborhood...

After everyone had some breakfast a number of us decided to go for a walk Dad, Sue, Steve, Gail, Carrie, Colin, Lisa and I walked through the neighborhood. Colin was the tour guide. We decided to walk up hill first because it would be easier to come down later. We passed by a couple of very pretty creeks. At the end of one of the dead ends, Dad and Carrie got in a snowball fight. It has been raining here quite a bit so it was nice to get out of the house.

Good Morning!

Today we all woke up rather sporadically. Of course Hanna and Garrett were last to wake up! Tex was teaching Tristan how to play the bongos. Colin took note and we decided to go wake up Hanna and Garrett. Here is the aftermath!

Garrett your so pretty!

Hanna your hot!

Happy Birthday Dad!

So, it is the beginning of memorial weekend and we headed to Tamarack to surprise my dad for his 70th birthday. Tex, Hanna, Garrett, Tristan, and I met my brother and his family to race up to Tamarack before my dad, sue and Lisa got there. It was close, we barely made it in front of them. I must say that it did help that dad got stopped twice by the Idaho State Police. He only got one ticket thought:) Somehow he got out of the 2nd ticket by telling the officer that he just got a ticket. That never worked for me! Here are some of the pictures Tex took from our cabin.

After dad settled in from brush with the law, Sue made a wonderful BBQ'd salmon dinner. Everyone was tired so we went to bed early.

P.S. I LOVE YOU

OK, I had no idea what this movie was about and I don't think I have ever cried and laughed so hard during one movie in my life. It really makes one respect what they have. Things can change in an instant just as they did for the family from Sweet this weekend. Cherish what you have every moment, every day!

Mom's play day!

So today it was my day to play ball! The girls had a tourney at Willow Lane. This group of girls is so much fun! We Played really well but had a few errors along the way. 1/2 of them my walks in the third game.

Here is out team photo before we lost out last game.

Here are a few of my girls!

Sheree

Look at that form!

After we were done in the tournament I was off to get home because today was the day we did family pictures! I was so excited. We found a photographer named Tiffany Hix. When I went to her blog I felt like I had known her for years! We spent about an hour and a half at the depot taking various shots of Tex, Hanna, Garret, Tristan and myself. I can not wait to get them back. Tiffany will post a "Sneak Peak" on her web sight (tiffanyhixphotography.com). When she does I will let you all know so you can see the photo's! While we were up there, Tex took a beautiful photo of down town.

I happened to snap one of Hanna and Garrett.

After we left the Depot we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. It was OK at best:(

A fun packed Saturday!

Well, Saturday I got to sleep in. Yea! Dad had a softball tournament and his first game was at 8 am. It was in the 90's Saturday so Tristan and I hung out at the house. Tex's team was on a loosing streak so we decided to beat the heat by taking our first dip in the pool together. He was dressed in his cute little swim suit that we received at our shower. I was so happy it still fit! Tristan did really well! He just thought it was a big bath tub, a real big bath tub!

A few moths ago I got Tristan this little boat that is cuter than ever. It is like a bouncy chair that floats in the water. It has little toys on it and a canopy so her has shade. The stickers on it are cuter than ever too but I don't think they will stay on it long!

While Tristan and I were taking a dip, dad called and said that they won their last game and they were getting ready to play again, five games in one day in 95 degree heat. Ouch! We started to feel guilty for not going to watch so we hopped out of the pool and headed down to the field. We got their just in time to see them loose their last game.

After Tex's softball game we decided to go watch Brittles play football. Cam & Britt's parents were here and got some quality time with TJ again. It is always so good to see them! We didn't get to see Brittles as he was probably cranky after loosing a close game.... Sorry Brittles!

Milk chocolate melts in your mouth not in your hands!

NEED I SAY MORE?

HE'S OURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, today was the day. It seemed like the finalization went as swift as Tristan finding us! We showed up at the courthouse about 920 and waited for our attorney. He was in room 401 in another adoption.

Once we went in our attorney briefed us on what to expect. He ran us through the series of questions that he was going to ask and then the judge came in and we were on our way. Of course things got teary when the judge asked how did Tristan come into our life. I told he all about being in Mexico and the very morning I got home I received a phone called stating that our son was born the previous Friday. I could not hold it together. What really touched me was when our attorney asked Tex hos he felt about Tristan and Tex just started to sob, he could not even talk! I love Tex so much! I am so lucky to have him! After the hearing the judge posed for pictured with us.

I'll bet that is a great part of her job! There are so many kids that are not wanted and then to see children adopted to wonderful families has got to be great.

We were very fortunate that mom and Dani could make it! Thanks for sharing in our moment, I know many more of you are with us in "spirit". We love and thank you all.
