Spring Break with My Daddy

It has been 5 years since we had Dad up to Tamarack to go skiing. This year was such a blessing because Sue sent Dad to Idaho for Grandparents Day at School and then onto Tamarack for the week of spring break. We missed Grammy this trip but understood that she had to get back to Kona for her Chorus practice.

We didn't waist any time! We all hit the slopes with Dad and he picked it back up just like riding a bike! The smile on his face is always priceless.

Doug came up to spend the day with us and the weather was nice enough that Lisa could hang out on the hill with us as well.

We got some good quality time with Dad, Dad built us a couple fires to roast marshmallows, we played games, completed a puzzle, we even took dad to Gold Fork to enjoy the hot springs. It was truly an amazing weekend!

So this is hilarious, we were walking back to the car and found a van full of hids to be stuck. We tried to pull them out to no avail. Then the mustang came in and got stuck. We spent a good hour trying to get everyone out. Little did we know that Tristan caught it all on video.

Changing things up with Game Changers Of Idaho

A few weeks ago one of our friends asked if Tristan might be interested in "mentoring" her son as a volunteer to be a buddie for her son in the spring Friday Night Flag Football League. When I asked Tristan he was so excited! Jadon is the little brother of one of his good friends from church. I loved everything about his! Here is a little about Game Changers of Idaho

Our Mission

To find those who seek to spread goodness, so that others may be fulfilled, by offering a variety of opportunities for kids with and without disabilities. Doing so leads to the power of inclusion; bringing children of all abilities together and showing that even though we are all different, we are also the same. We often use sports as a vehicle to create relationships and to focus on the ability of children, rather than the disability.

Volunteers

From kids to adults, we surround ourselves with like minded individuals whose drive is to foster inclusion within our communities. Outside of sports, we believe in teaching  empathy, patience and understanding to volunteers starting as early as kindergarten. This team of volunteers are changing the way we view sports by truly enjoying the game for what it is. A game.

Our Philosophy

There are amazing people in the world that truly want to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Whether feeding the homeless, building orphanages, or charity walks with loved ones, the world will always need more help. We believe each and every one of us, regardless of ability, age, or gender can do more to make the world a better place. What are we doing on a day to day basis, to make the lives of those around us better? Our purpose is to build a culture where helping others becomes a habit.
Here are a few shots from tryouts.

Air TJ

Snapped this gem after a morning swim at the Y, Tristan decided to come and shoot some hoops with the boys. If this is a glimpse of what is to come I am super excited!

AR Workshop with the ladies

I love these two ladies! Spending time with them brings me so much happiness though it does not seem like we get enough time together lately. Every time we do we have a great time!

For Christmas I have began giving gifts of experience. This year I gave them the fluffy blanket from the new AR Workshop. We took a bottle of wine and knitted away. All walking away with a lovely new blanket.

Afterwords we went out for lunch and cocktails.

Love you girls
