Family Dinner

Is has been a while since we hosted a family dinner and we finally got one on the calendar. Not everyone was able to make it but it was nice to have those who could. It was great to see Jerrod Jr. Little Hazel was cute as ever! Nothing is better than family.

Starlight Mountain Theater

Last year was our first trip to Garden Valley for the Starlight Mountain Theater Kids Camp. This year they will be performing Aladdin. As we did last year we took turns driving the kids up each day. We had a cabin rented for the weekend and are planning some fun things to do.

Apparently before Tex and I arrived the kids went bridge jumping. FYI I totally would have said no, but Angee said yes. Needless to say they had a blast, except for Cassidy bruising her butt! We spent time at the farmers market, went swimming at the pool, we panned for stones, we floated the river, played lots of games and learned the cowboy boogie. The kids made enchiladas and we chilled in the hot tub.

This was just the weekend I needed, though the summer was crazy, spending time with this family always grounds me. It was another great weekend!

Grath on the Blue

Back in March it was rumored that Garth would be coming in July for a stadium tour on the Blue. I could not hardly believe it. May 8 it was confirmed.  A limit of 8 tickets would be available per person. When the lines opened. May 17th tickets went on sale and after sitting in Que for 40 minutes I was not moved to the purchase line. During the wait I was watching vivid seat and good seating locations and I was able to get tickets. Now, here is the deal, because I always try to do too much... I got tickets for Lisa, Tristan, Maren, Danny, Tommy, Tex and I. All the while wanting to have five different experiences. Sometimes I just need to say no. Tristan did not want to be there, Dano and Tommy were late, Maren and I had a blast, and Tex and I were fine but I wanted to be there at 20yoa dancing my but off but since he does not dance that did not work out. The good news is who can be sad at a Garth Brooks concert!!!! We all had an amazing time and regardless of weather I spread myself too thin... again, it was an incredible night. Tex, TJ and I started out the evening at Trisha's tailgate party. He wanted to go because before she married Garth she was his true love (other than me of Course). That was super fun, the food was great, and the drinks were better. Then it was off to meet everyone fore the show. I swear, every show he does gets better. We had all made signs for the show, I made one for "Mom", Maren made one for "Ireland". I was sad Garth did not sing mine but he did call out MAren's and it was amazing! I heard he did "Mom" at the show the night before and it was simply amazing. Mom would have loved this show in the blue. I know she was there.
Thanks Garth for another amazing memory.
