Upward Basketball 2015 The Year of The Ninja's!

We are about three weeks into Upward basketball. This year is so much different than last. It actually resembles a basketball game this year! Grandma loves to get out these games, they are relatively easy for her. Auntie made it to this one too!

Look at this handsome man.

Well, this happened. Two weeks ago I received a call from the school that said that Tristan did not pass his eye test at school. Since they are not eye doctors they wanted me to take him to the eye doctor. As many of you know that day did not go so well. Tristan was beside himself that he had to get glasses and we left the eye doctor crying together. Today is a new day and look how good this little man looks in his new Ray Bans!

A sad day at the Horton House...

Thomas the train has been a staple in our home since it was passed on from Tristan's nephew Colin. I would say a good 5 years at least the massive wood train set has encompassed our sun room. Endless hours have been spent in this room. Well, today we have our room back. Tristan informed me that "he was too old for Thomas". I can't believe it. This is really the first time I have been a bit sad that he is growing up.

New Years Day Family Dinner

About 4 or 5 months ago I began hosting a family dinner for all of the kids and the grand kids. We host this dinner on the last Sunday of every month. Some days we have 6 or 8 of us, some days we have over 20. I love how the family is growing together. I feel like the kids whom have really never known each other are really developing relationships as adults and to see their children get to know each other is really priceless.

Funny thing was this was a bit overwhelming to Mom, Patti and Rick but this is my life. Love my extended family. We are truly blessed!
