Tree's of Mystery

For years we have been talking about making this trip. It is this day that I am most excited for. Tex's love of tree's has always been very heart warming but he has no idea what he is in for.

I took this picture of this couple on their bike. I loved it! Wished I new who they were so I could send it to them!

Tree's of Mystery.

Located in the heart of the Redwood Empire, at the very center of Redwood National and State Parks, Trees of Mystery is California's premier nature attraction on the North coast! For over 65 years we have been educating, entertaining, and introducing visitors from the world over to this awe-inspiring natural treasure. Welcome to the California Redwoods!

Tex is in love!

Tristan had so much fun with Paul & Babe! He could have played with them all day!

The first of 3 drive through tree's!

We loved this tree. It was really the first one that we really climbed into! Another sight seer went first then we were all over it!

Inside the corkscrew tree!

We ended up going for a hike for about an hour. We met another family from Washington that was super sweet. Our boys had found this tree and Tristan climber to the top. He then found this whole and dropped right through it. The kid is afraid of nothing!

We even saw some elk, but n buffalo!

South Bound 101

Last night we stayed in Coos Bay. One thing the city is known for is the large barges being filled with wood chips and being shipped to Asia to be turned into paper. This photo does not even do it justice, it was simply incredible!

Moving on to old town Bandon we stopped to eat at Tony' Crab Shack. Super cute place right off the pier where everyone was crabbing and we saw our third light house, the Coquille River Light.

 # 4
Cape Blanco Light House
Here the light keeper lived with his family for 45 years. Simply Amazing. I could not even imagine!

Here is the motor that keeps the light moving, who would have ever thought?

Original glass, priceless.
