DC Day 5

This year I am sitting on my first committee at the national level as is Angee. I am on the Independent Rental Owners Committee and she is on NAAGIVES. This was a big step for both of us individually to continue to grow and contribute to our industry. We are honored to be able to do so. Today was filled with meetings, ideas, and solutions. It’s so great to see the work being done at this level and it’s even more incredible to have a voice.

 

 

Capital Hill Advocate 2023 Time to meet

 

DC Day 4

Today is the day, Capital Hill Washington DC where 800 members of the National Apartment Association meet with their representatives and senators to lobby for the legislation at a national level. The last time I was here was 2020 the very day the country was shut down for Covid. This year we get to live the whole experience. We met with four offices Senator Crapo, Representative Simpson, Representative Fulcher, and Senator Risch. It was a full day! We added a trip through The Library of Congress, and we’re treated with a ride on the underground Capitol Subway. We capped the day off with great Thai food and some sweet treats from Tarte. Tomorrow Committee Meetings. My first as a member of the Independent Rental Owners Committee.
