Off with the braces

Well, last week was a little tough when the braces came off, so much so that Tristan pulled his own tooth that was loose to make room for his retainer to fit. Last week two of Tristans teeth were so loose that they could not get the brackets off those teeth. One came out the same day the second just would not come out. Between that and the mold for the reatiner, Tristan called it "the place of tourture" He was not going to have it this week.
Silly kid!

My belated birthday - The Inn @ 500 & The Fork

Since we were gone in December Tex postponed my birthday until last weekend. I really wanted to stay at the new hotel The Inn @ 500 so my love booked us a suite! I have really grown to love these trips down town! So much so that Angee knows and she got us a gift card for The Fork for Christmas.
We had originally planned to go to The Fork for dinner but when we realized Planet Earth 2 was premiering we opted to stay is and order room service and watch that. Tristan and I played some board games and then an impromptu game of shadow puppets that was so fun! Tristan and I decided to venture outside after the show and take some cool pictures. I really love the one with Tex on the patio of our suite. The night would not be complete with out some Lilly Jane's  cupcakes. We woke up and enjoyed some more tub time and then we headed off to The Fork for our brunch. We have never been here for brunch before and I would say it was the best brunch I have had in town. Tex had a skillet, I had chicken and waffles and Tristan had vanilla infused french toast that was to die for... so much so he and I traded! It was OHHH so good! Thank you Angee!
Another fabulous night on the town!Thank you my love!

Upward Basketball special guest... Tyler Horton

Many of you know about the relationship that developed between Tyler and Tristan this year. Well after a recent post and a gracious offer to come support our son at his basketball game, Tyler once again did not disappoint. These kids were all so excited to meet these boys and so excited they took the time to come out and watch their game. Pretty special day!
