Oregon Trail Day Cole Valley 2018

After a month long series of learning about the Oregon Trail Expedition the 4th grade class got to spend the day immersed in the topic from vintage costumes, to dutch oven, to black powder rifles, and an all out square dance. The kids even made dolls from wet corn husks as might have happened so many years ago when the products we have today might not have been available. The day was truly amazing and just another reason we are happy we made the change to Cole Valley!

Experiencing the Oregon Trail

Tristan has been studying Idaho History in the 4th grade. He is just finishing up the Oregon Trail and since we spent the weekend in Idaho Falls we thought is would be a good time to hit some of our local history. We stopped at Massacre Rock, Register Rock, Three Island Crossing, Bonneville Point, and The Oregon Trail Historic Reserve. It was so fun to see him excited about history!
