Choo-choo

Look Auntie Gail, and cousin Colin, I have a new favorite video. It took my a while to come around but Thomas is my new BFF. I love playing with my engine and mommy got me a beginner track today that holds 16 engine's. I can't wait to add the track you got me but mommy wants be to wait until I don't throw things as much. Mommy's favorite part is that I can say Choo-choo now cuter than ever, if you don't believe me just watch the video that mommy made!

Memorial Day BBQ

Today we invited much of the family over. Eric and Lisa came over with the kids. Mom dropped Lisa off but did not stay because she was not feeling well. Brad, Kari and Kimmie came over. We made burger's, hot dog's, mom sent her potato salad, I made deviled eggs, chips, salsa, the works! We shared the afternoon with friends and family. Thank you to all those whom have lost their lives to allow us this privilege!

Cassidy's piggies.
I love piggies!

Kimmie was offered 15 bucks from her mom to jump in the pool. The pool in which I turned the heat off two weeks ago. Kimmie asked Brad for an additional five bucks, and me for another five, so all in all Kimmie made 25 bucks.

Do you think it was cold?

Dust Buster Graduated...

Twelve years ago I moved to Boise Idaho on an impulse. I met a guy, I was hired at the Sheriff's Office, I hated the Sheriff's Office, I dumped the guys, I went to spend Christmas with my family in Tahoe then I came back and began to attend Boise State University. I walked in to my English 101 class and sat down in the front row. I sat down right next to a young lady about my age. We hit it off from the start. Her name was Danielle. Turns out she was a was a single mom going back to school, she too was interested in criminal justice and law enforcement, which as you all know I had a bit of history in. Dani and I studied together, hung out together and played together. It was then that I met this cute little boy named Dustin, Dani called him Dust Buster and of course I picked that up too. It was not until time passed that I found that I had met a life long friend/family that would be with me the rest of my life. Well, today Dust Buster has graduated from High School. He had grown into a fine young man! Congratulations Dustin!

Sorry for the delay...

Hello all, sorry it has been so long since my last blog. My life had been crazy since TJ's CAT scan. Tristan is still fine but getting caught up at home and at work has been a handful. Trying to get the pool at the apartments open and attending Dr's appointments with mom. Mom is good and I am happy to report that many of my concerns are actually side affects of her medication. I have had a tone of thing to get done before I have the Lap Band done. I am meeting with the DR on the 26th and shooting for surgery on the 8th. So, needless to say I have had my handful.

This is a tire swing that we got for Tristan. It replaces the baby swing the Sheree had given us. Tristan was a little confused at first but his daddy and brother were happy to help. I am also happy to report that Tristan's speech is blossoming quit quickly.

And finally, what did mother nature bring you this weekend? The most recent "spring storm" brought Boise a very picturesque day and that same storm brought Bogus 14 inches of snow!

WELCOME TO IDAHO!

"Business" as usual.

Today I was out and about taking care of a number of errands when my cell phone rang. It was my dad, now this would not seem that unusual but since the accident Dad has not been making too many phone calls. Well, today that was not the case. Dad called me and asked if I had time to talk. I said of course and Dad proceeded to start to talk about a few business items. We had a 40 minute conversation about work related items and to top it off it was a very productive phone call.

This was a great moment for me because I have really missed talking to Dad. Not just talking to him but talking to him about purposeful items and feeling that sense of accomplishment. I have really missed that the last couple of years but today I really got a taste of having my Dad back. I never criticize the capacity Dad was returned to us in but today was a really good day!

I love you Dad!

Happy Mother's Day

What a wonderful mother's day. I think my favorite surprise that Tex kind of disclosed was the gift Tristan made for me at pre-school. I love the choice we made for our pre-school! They have activities every day and this was one of them. It was a little hand print with a cute little poem next to it. I guess I should start my little box now, the box with all my keepsakes from my little boy! I love being a mom!

We stopped by to spend some time with mom. She was not feeling great, we were supposed to go out for dinner but we postponed it till later this week.

Cat Scan Results

Boy, am I ready for this week to be over! We got the results yesterday, they were all normal. The doctor thinks it is just celluliteus. Which is bacteria in the blood. Tristan is still on antibiotics and we are just supposed to keep an eye on him.

Thanks for all your prayers!

Sugarland with Dano

Dani and I have had tickets for Sugarland for some time. I was not to excited at first but I have been terribly excited for about the last 10 days. Surprisingly there were not a lot of people there, but Dani and I had a fabulous time! We don't always get to spend a lot of time together anymore and it was nice to catch up! We had such a great time we laughed until we could not laugh anymore! We did not have great seats but we were able to move since there were many open seats. Sugarland did not disappoint, they put on a great show!

Cat Scan

Today was a very stressful day. we were to check in at St Lukes by 1230 for Tristan's cat scan. They gave us both wrist bands and sent us into the waiting room. It was about time for Tristan's nap so everything was relatively uneventful until they decided to ut in the IV. Tristan had fallen asleep and the nurse had previoously put some numbing cream on the IV locations.
The instant she started digging aroubd he woke up hysterically. The bad thing was she not only missed the first try but also the second try. I was beside myself. They ended up calling another nurse in who used the other hand, the one he suck his fingers on. Of course that did not go over well. This nurse had him straddle me and I had to hold him down. It was terrible.

By the time we made it into the scan room both Tristan and I were exhausted. Grant, the Cat Scan Tech was great! He actually offered to try the scan without having to sedate Tristan. This made me very happy. Tristan layed so still, he was great.

I am so glad this day is over. We did not receive any results yet. I figure no news is good news.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!

Since the boys were so good, they got Popsicle.

After we left the hospitol we went to Chappala for lunch.

When we got home, TJ and I went for a ride around the block.
