G Man All Grown Up

As many of you know Garrett has moved back in with us. After Cal & Jennifer graciously letting him finish high school with them he moved back in with us last fall and started school at CWI. After a semester there he decided to take a semester off to work and then start a new program this fall. Garrett had grown into such a wonderful young man.

We are using these few months to teach Garrett a few things about life as an adult. First on the list was budgeting, Next on the agenda for April are groceries. The cost... how much he eats... and how long it lasts. Garrett pays 150 per month for groceries. April's goal take G grocery shopping let him buy 150 worth of groceries and see how long it lasts. Here we are on a Sunday evening at about 1030 pm. I could not help myself, I had to take a couple of pictures.

     Nice work G Man!

Next on the list, fall CWI schedule.

He has Risen

Saturday night we painted Easter eggs. It had been a a busy week but we got it in. Loved the paint we got this year. It was Candy Apple Paint! The eggs turned out awesome!

Another thing I did this year was baked the eggs instead of boiling them. Totally easy!

The bunny has arrived!

So did the Kona Bunny! Thanks Grammy & Pa Pa

Up at the crack of dawn! Headed out to search for eggs.

After the egg hunt we went to a beautiful service at The Pursuit. Tex stayed home to make us wonderful dinner. The afternoon was filled with family and friends! What a wonderful way to spend the day!

Happy Easter everyone!

Happy 49 my love!

Today, my hubby and I celebrated his 49th birthday. We were able to take the afternoon off together. We say Jack the Giant Slayer, which was awesome! Then we picked up Tristan and Garrett and headed to Barbacoa for dinner, Tex's choice. We shared a wonderful dinner together then came home to top it off with cake. Super great afternoon with my love. Only thing that makes me a little sad was that he didn't heard from any of the other kids. He is always to proud to say it but I know it makes him sad.

2 for 2

Today Auntie was watching Tristan as she does every Monday. TJ and I had a Chiropractor appointment so Auntie came with us so we could pick up some coffee.  On our way home Tristan boldly says, "guys I think you should take a look at this". As I looked in the mirror I see in his hand the second loose tooth. Yes, tooth number 2 is out!

Boy, the tooth fairy is getting a work out this week!

 Sweet Dreams!

His first tooth is out!

Auntie Gail got this cute little tooth box for Tristan for Christmas. For two weeks now it has been sitting next to my bed waiting for Tristan two loose teeth to fall out. His two lower one's right in the middle have been very loose. Yesterday, Auntie, TJ and I went to his awards ceremony for basketball and then Auntie was kind enough to spend the night and watch Tristan while Hanna, Tex and I went to a movie. Well, that was the night. The tooth fell out and landed on his leg. Auntie wanted o put it in a cup until we got home but Tristan new just what to do. He showed her the box next to my bed and said he had to put it under his pillow for the tooth fairy to come. So special for it to happen while Auntie was here! She said he was bouncing around like crazy, he was so excited. Then he wanted to look at it and saw it bleeding and he started to cry. Auntie was so good, she wrapped up an ice cube and gave it to him to suck on and he was good. Way to go Auntie! Nice work!

Reallly? Yes really : )

We were all outside enjoying the spring weather when.... yes! We heard the beautiful sound of the ice cream man! A sound none of us will soon forget. The boys were so excited! As he pulled u I said, A little early? and his exact words were "Ice Cream men are broke in the winter". We all laughed. Looking forward to summer!
