A weekend of family and fun!

Saturday we got up and went to Hannah's soccer game. She did so good! It was nice to see everyone out and about it was a beautiful day! We got there a little late and little did I know how many teams played at this field so that made us a little later:) Regardless we made it for the second half and saw Hannah score a goal and have many attempts! Boy what a leg!

Dad & TJ playing in the net.

After the soccer game we all went home for a little nap, then it was off to see Brittle play football! Tristan got to hang out with many family and friends.

Auntie Patti Rocks!

Auntie Patti called from India today! She made my mommy so happy! Mommy was so excited to here from here, they talked for almost a half an hour! Patti told her all about her trip so far, her time in the ashram, the trip to the time share and how they through her a big birthday party last night. Mommy was crying when they hung up, I think she really misses her, but I made mommy happy after they got off the phone by snuggling with her and giggling a lot: ) I miss you too Auntie Patti, you ROCK!

Have a safe trip!

PS: I can't wait to see you again!

What is cuter than kids shoes? Tristan in Kids shoes!

Ok, I have been trying to add these photo's for days but it seems that Blogger has been having some issues with their photo upload. Finally I shut my computer totally down and started it back up and it worked. YEA!

So, while we were sick the last couple of weeks we were still taking photos but dad had the camera so we could not get them down loaded. So get ready because I think these are the cutest yet!

I have been looking for some shoes for Tristan because I hate when we get him dressed up and all he has is socks to wear. As most of you know I bought him a pair or Air Jordan's in Vegas that I think he got to wear twice. Auntie Gail sent him the Nike's I sent cousin Carrie when she was born and they were too small when they got her:( (but please note that I am saving them for a special occasion). So one day I was at Payless and I found two of the cutest pair of shoes, I bought them a little big so he could wear them for a while.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE NOW!

OH, WE ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE : )

LIFE IS GOOD!

My sister Patti

My sister Patti is my true soul sister. She is on a spiritual journey right now in India. She is there with a friend she met at a drum circle in Hawaii for 8 weeks. I was spending the afternoon updating my blog and I sent Patti a e-mail. I got one of those "automated" replies back that said she was only checking her messages intermittently. I decided to respond to it and I told her I missed her and I was going to call her just to hear her voice on her phone. While I was sending a message on my iPHONE my phone beeped in that I had a message. When I went to check my voice mail it came up Patti. When a listened to the message she said, "I just called so you could hear my voice, ( of course I am crying by now), I am on my way to get my head shaved at the ashram it is 5 am here and I will call you later". HOW DID I MISS HER? I can't wait until she calls!

Holy cow

Well, were do I start. First I have been sicker than crud. Tristan got a cold and I immediately picked it up. Too much kissing I guess. Tex didn't get it, I don't know what is up with that! Then just as I thought I was getting over it I had a softball tournament, this was last Sunday. I was only hitting because I did not feel good and then our pitcher walked a number of girls so I thought I would give pitching a try. This was quit a stretch since I had not pitched since the surgery and I certainly had not done it since last year. When I got in there I was a little shaky but I pulled it off. Everything was fine and dandy until one of the No Limit girls hit a line drive at my head. You guessed it, I went for cover and the ball drilled me in the side of the head! Holly crap! You know how you try real hard not to cry in front of everyone, well that was me. Ranae, from No Limits, fixed me up. my ear was bleeding pretty good and they thought it ripped the ear ring out of my ear. They were able to clean it up, tape it and I was good as new. I then took a few practice pitches and we were off. This was game 4 of 6. We ended up taking 2nd place and we had a lot of fun! The girls seemed to think that taking a ball up the side of your head and then finishing the day out was worthy of the MVP. That was nice: ) but I think I would rather have my ear back...lol. I was so exhausted and my cold seemed to be 10x worse now. I went back to the truck and called Tex. He had left to take Hanna home. I then proceeded to ball like a little baby. He asked what was wrong? I told him I just had not had time to cry yet. We then stopped at Chapalla to grab a bite to eat. I called Angee to see if she could cover for me Monday as I new I was going to need some rest. It is so nice to have a great employee that you can trust!

After taking Monday off I was back to work on Tuesday. I spent the rest of the week trying to recover from this stinking cold. It keeps me up all night coughing and then I get up and go to work. So needless to say I have not had much time to get back to the blog. I also have some very cute pictures to add but Tex had the dang camera. So I will get those on soon. We have another tournament this weekend and the weather is supposed to be yucky. That stinks! I am going to try very hard to keep my face out from in front of the ball: )

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today was Grandma's birthday. We just got back from taking her out to dinner. It was so nice to see her as Grandma has been pretty sick for the past few weeks. I missed her a lot. I love you Grandma!

Still waiting...

We heard from the attorney today, we were supposed to go sign papers for the finalization today but there has been a little glitch. There is a form that has to be filled out by the agency and they had to fax it to Georgia. They can not complete the documents for the court until Georgia notifies them back. It should be next week. We will keep you posted!

Today we have another birthday in the family. Tristan's big brother Garrett is turning 15. Garrett moved with us in August of last year and was struggling in school. Garrett is now flourishing. He is passing all of his classes and he is even taking a tumbling class at Wings! Outside the few "teenager" hiccup's things are going quit well! Soon we will be off to dinner for G's birthday party!

Finalization

Well, most of you probably don't know that we are actually just foster parents right now. When you adopt in the US you have to wait 6 months before you can finalize the adoption. Well, today we met with our attorney, I was so nervous. He is a very nice man and says that these are very happy times. It is not often that the judges get to do something positive so when an adoption comes through it is very special. We will start the paperwork now and he said that we could expect all to be final by the end of June. We will keep you all posted with dates, etc. It is a very exciting time!
