Halloween X 3

This year was a bit overwhelming going from one child to three. We did get out to trick or treat but I did not dress up this year. I just did not have it in me. The kids were super cute and we got a lot of trick or treating in. Auntie came with us and we also got by to see Grandma.

Salmon Creek Retirement Living

This step in our lives was to important not to write about. As most of you know my mom has been in and out of good health over the years. Mom has been doing great these days and I felt it was very important for her to be involved with making the decision on where she would end up if she ended up having some medical issues. Over the past 2 -3 months mom and I have been going to different senior living facilities so mom could see which one she liked. The original plan was for this to be sometime down the road. Little did we know that mom would stumble upon one she would like! Mom liked it so much she put a deposit down and two weeks later she was in.

My mom spent her life in the nursing field. Dedicating her life to helping others. She also spent the later part of her career working in these facilities and we all know how picky she can be. It was beyond my surprise that the move came so quickly and easily.

Mom has got a beautiful apartment with a fabulous view on the third floor. It is very close to my house and she tells me she talks so much she needs to "shut up". The move has been very busy, but I can honestly say that I have not seen my mom so active and involved with others in years, and I mean many years!

Whats next on the least? Peanuckle and Bridge. Mom, I am so happy for you! I love you so much and to see you happy means more than the world to me.

Annual Chili Feed

Woke up early to get ready for the chili feed. This after working most of the night. I had some help from three little men. two of whom never licked a beater. I think they liked it... what do you think?

Sheree showed up early for a mummy lesson. She likes to snack on the left overs.

Shots of the goodies before the guests arrive.

The Chef!

Whit a house full of kids it is hard to keep them away from the goodies so we lined them all up to pick a treat.

Christy got the first bite of the mummy this year... sorry Sheree : )
OK, not really, we staged it.

Brittle hit the dog bowl.

Then it was time for the kids.

Shirley brought these super cute cookies she made.

And Brittles liked them too : )

This year we had a few struggles with the boys. I missed some time with friends but all in all it was another great year! That which does not kill you makes you stronger. Thanks to everyone for coming and sharing in our celebration. Thanks baby for another great feast!

Chuck E Cheese

This year Tristan turned 5. This was the first year that we did not combine Tristan's birthday with the Chili Feed. Over the summer Tristan went to a party at Chuck E Cheese and I new then that was what would be on the agenda. It was worth every penny not to have to worry about the set up, clean up and what to do during the party!

Love this shot of Flower on the phone.

At the end of the day we got to get into the ticket booth. I was able to get in with Tristan in case he was scared. Well, dah I was totally in on it! What I found out quickly is that if I opened my shirt from the top the tickets would go inside. I was all over it!

Thanks for a great birthday Chuck E
