The Great Hall - Camp Abbot

Here is a view from our house from the outside. This was such a great find! Thanks Sheree!

Before we headed out of town, Tex wanted to go check out The Great Hall. We had been trying all weekend but there were parties in it all weekend so we could not get inside. let me tell you, it was well worth the wait! The place was stunning! I love when Tex has these finds!

What a great weekend with friends!

Pre-race photo

Christy and Ike moved out ahead of us and finished about 9 minute ahead.

Sheree and I finished together.

Not only did we get shirts... we got medals too!

Great race guys and girls!

Here is the write up from Racecenter.com

This year’s 15th Annual Pacific Crest Weekend Sports Festival in Sunriver, OR was a rousing success with well over 5,000 athletes converging on Central Oregon for what is one of the Northwest’s single largest endurance events. Temperatures over the weekend that typically soar into the 80s and 90s were kept at bay with daytime highs in the 70s throughout the weekend. The largest-ever event expo at the “Athlete Village” in the Sunriver Mall showcased the latest in gear and nutrition from vendors across the region.

The marque event of the weekend is the long course triathlon. 36-year-old Kevin Everett of Boise, ID captured the men’s title while Mackenzie Madison, 24, of Eugene won the women’s race for the third straight year.

A marathon and half marathon, along with an endurance duathlon (sans swim) were held on Saturday in conjunction with the long course triathlon. Sunday played host to an Olympic triathlon and duathlon, as well as a 5K, 10K and Kids’ Dash.

So after the race, we decided to try to find the lake where they held the swim portion of the triathlon. Ike Googled a map on his smart phone but apparently his phone was not that smart... He took us on a scenic route. The whole thing turned out really funny. First sign that the triathletes did not come down this road... "Pavement Ends" Miles and Miles of dirt! No worries though Ike, it was fun!

Once we made it to the lake I was immediately torn. I know I will compete here one day!

Tex went for a drive by himself after we all had dinner. He got this great shot of this dear.

We all headed back to the house for some rest and Paige got out a board game to play. It is very exciting that Tristan is starting to play board games. He is getting so big! We are still so blessed!

Pre race day

The day before the race we really just chilled out and spent some time together. We whipped up some breakfast and then headed to the village for registration. Ike and Christy went to do some golfing so we picked up their packets for them.

Johnnies brother, Les, came to visit with his family. They only live a couple hours away. Their little boy Blake was Tristan's age and thy hung out all day. They had a blast together!

Blake's little sister Cloe decided to cut the rug with Tristan and Paige even got into the dancing action.

Packet Pick Up...

This is what Tristan wanted to do while mommy did her paperwork: )

After registration we walked to the Nature Conservatory.

After we got back Tex decided to have a little nap...

Paige and Christy got some snuggle time...

Another great day in Sunriver!
