Happy Haunting

Before Tristan was born Tex and I would dress up to hand out candy and we would sit out in the front yard and scare little kids. I know... It's a bit morbit but it was fun! For the past 6-7 years we have been trick or treating with our life group in various areas of the city. This year Tristan wanted to do something different. We ended up trick or treating with the Jensen's and while we waited for them to ge there we dressed up and hid in the front yard, it was a blast! First we scared the crap out of Flower, then Cassidy and her boyfriend. There were many more families after that.  Then it was off for a bit of trick or treating.

TJ's 12th Birthday

Today we celebrate Tristan. 12 years ago we had no idea how much our lives would forever be changed. A couple unable to have children would be blessed with a child in the coming days. God had a plan and we did not even know it yet.
Tristan we have watched you grow into an amazing young man. Your heart is so full of love, compassion, and selflessness. We watch you continue to grow in the eyes of the Lord and we could not be more proud. I pray that you continue the be the best that you can be each and every day. We promise to provide you with love, opportunity, and grace as we work our way through this amazing thing called life. Know that long before you were born God placed you in our loving arms to help guide you through this path. We love you so much! Forever and always! Happy birthday.

We started the day off with some birthday Dutch, then some AAU BKB, the girls decorated his room which was so super sweet, he loved it. We finished the night off with a birthday dinner at Pappa Joe's. Happy birthday bud!

Murder on Myrtle

A few months ago we were sitting around the pool during a late night swim and while looking at facebook saw an advertisement for a murder mystery night in Boise. I immediately got tickets for a double date night with the Jensen's. We always have so much fun together. I swear I laugh the hardest when I am with them. It was not quite what we expected but it was fun! Especially the coroners discussion ; 0 We followed the night up with scones at Merritt's.
Such a fun night!

The last 12 hours have been a whirlwind. God brought a young lady into my life so many years ago whom I never expected to meet. I always new she was there and I pray for her and her family often. Now my life is forever changed. Until we meet again may God bless you Hussina, you now have a piece of my heart.❤️

Hussinah Nantez

Today I received the second most exciting phone call of my life. Second only to when we received the phone call about our son Tristan being born. 6 years ago when James Tiera came to The Pursuit to tell us about his Church in Kampala, Uganda our lives were forever changed when we decided to sponsor a child. Tristan and I went out into the lobby and selected a beautiful little girl that our hearts were drawn to. Tristan would have been 6 at the time. He loved Hussinah because she had hair like him❤️ and they were the same age. The phone call today was to tell us she was here, here in Idaho. The Amani Choir is actually scheduled to sing at Tristan’s school tomorrow. I had no idea Hussinah was on this years tour. Tonight we were invited to dinner with the children and we were able to meet Hussinah. It is very rare you feel so much love in one room. God is so incredibly good! WE shared a wonderful meal, we danced and sang! Such an amazing evening. It is hard to believe this first picture is the same little girl.

Our lives are forever changed.

Sharing the chili with those less fortunate downtown Boise

This year we started a new tradition. We took the left over chili downtown to share with those less fortunate. The Jensen's made bags of cheese, crackers and Frito's. we got spoons and solo cups. Tex loaded up the camp chef and we were off. It was really a great experience for us and the kids and I think it made a few people's day!

The 13th annual chili feed

Today we are celebrating with our friends and family. For years know we have been starting the holidays without annual chili feed. Another 20 gallons of chili created by my amazing husband to share with everyone! So grateful to Angee for getting some great pictures for me this year and spe ial thanks to Johnny for, what is becoming, my annual Christmas present at Halloween. The Balloon is my new favorite.
Thanks every one for another amazing year!
