West Ada 5 K and Upwards Soccer - Face Paint Day

Today The West Ada School district joined all their school together for a 5 k. What a great opportunity to race with my little man.

And we are off!

And we did it!

After the race it was time for some soccer. Since I am the coach I don't get to take many pictures but today was face paint day so I could not resist. We are the Avenger's so what else would be more appropriate than Ironmom and Captain America!

Live for 175 2015

This year Angee had this great idea to make shirts for live for 175. If you have not heard about Live for 175, one of our local DJ's, KeKe Luv, has been using his radio station to promote child abuse awareness prevention. Keke has stayed awake for 175 hours, gone without food for 175, run 7 marathons in 7 days, and the list goes on. All this so those who were abused could tell their story. What an incredible platform! The last two years they have had road bikes that power a customized battery that runs the station to keep it on air. If the battery runs out of juice, the station goes off the air... well, Not in This House!

After the ride it was time for some breakfast with great friends!

On our way home we stopped at Albertson's and look who we found...

Happy Birthday John Luca

One thing about Gateway Elementary is we are all going to grow together as families. It is different than you main stream schools. I love the diversity and the respect. Today was John Luca's Birthday and his parents always have great idea's this year it was army rangers and ninjas. All the kids had such a great time!

Somehow Chinese seams to always be tied in. Loved the candy sushi, nice touch!

Skills USA 1st place at State for Garrett

Garrett has been working very hard on his project at school this year. If he wins the state competition he will get to go to Kansas in June.

It was an early start to the morning, off to find the eggs the Easter Bunny hid!

Today Mom turned 79, I can't believe it. We had her over for homemade cream of celery soup (her favorite), and then it was time for her to open her presents. Happy birthday Mom! Love you!
