Merry Christmas everyone! Our Christmas looked a little different than it was supposed to but we were still truly blessed none the less.
The first picture is of the Jensen's in Hawaii and us here. We were supposed to be together but here we are in our Christmas jamiies thousands of miles apart. They were truly missed but we are so glad that they went. It looks like they had a great time and I can't wait to hear all about it when they get home.
Our Christmas morning is always so nice. Tristan usually comes down and checks out his stocking and lets us sleep in. Christmas was a little lite this year since we were supposed to be traveling but he was pleasantly surprised with his gift from "Santa". It was kind of buried so he did not find it when he came down before us. It was fun to stil see Tristan excited! I love that he still has the innocent joy.
We capped the day off with Tex making my requested dinner of prime rib and then Tristan taught me how to play Fortnite... Yes it is true!!!!
Christmas looked a little different this year than it was supposed to. We had to make a hard decision since Tex had his surgery. We have been planning for years to get to Hawaii with the Jensen's. Long before Covid and long before the foot injury we booked the house for this Christmas Break. With Tex being non weight bearing and the added stress of Covid we made the decision not to go. I am so glad the Jensen's still decided to go and even more grateful they helped us complete the kitchen floors while they were there.
We started our Christmas Eve off with the service at The Pursuit. I love nothing more than being back in service (socially distanced of course), and worshiping the birth of our Savior with our family.
I went for a "lovely" walk before we all headed to bed for "Santa" to arrive!
Tristan put out the cookies and milk and then was off to bed.
After a quick dip in the hot tub all the work was done.
What an amazing weekend! We wrapped up with our final God time for the weekend by writing down all the things that we wanted to let go of. These things were written on glass tiles. We all went out into the garage and destroyed then into millions of pieces. They we went out front and played a fun game of piniata softball. We all got a chance to swing at a boxed filled with items that bring us all joy. So fun!
After our game we came inside for our activity which was awesome! We all got to make our own gnomes.
Such a fun refreshing weekend after a year full of chaos.
What a beautiful Saturday, waking up with my ladies, blessed with a wonderful Ableskiver breakfast, a beautifully presented God time presented Patti and then it was off to The Shore Lodge for lunch and aa photo shoot.
We enjoyed a beautiful lunch before changing into our "prom" dresses and heading to the lake for a dip. We were originally going to do the Polar Plunge but the footing in the lake is very odd in the winter, it was more like quick sand so we kept it to playing in the water. It was still a truly "lovely" day.
When we returned home we found a scavenger hunt set up by Patti's friend Justin. We visited with them for a bit, ate dinner and then prepped for tomorrows activity.
