Date with my boy
It's been a while since we got to spend time, just the two of us. I decided to introduce him to the luxury of a pedicure and he loved it!
I love being a Mom!

Happy New Year!
So, we decided to head back up the mountain for New Years. Patti came back to do some skiing at the new place and we decided to join her to get some family time. We headed up New Years Eve to find the house at 37 degrees and out of propane. Patti busted her but to get someone out there to fill it up and God bless then that they were able to do it. We started 2 fires and by the time we went to bed we had the house up to 60 degrees.
Patti rang in the New Year napping, Tristan on Fortnite, Lisa on her phone, and Tex playing TV roulette. I myself set out for a moonlit snowshoe excursion. I was back before the potato dropped but I'm glad I headed out.
New Years day I woke up to Tristan snuggles and then we headed out to do some skiing. I will take those snuggles as long as I can get them!
After the propane company came and filled the tank he lit both the furnace and the water heater. Well we noticed last night at dinner we had no hot water so before I went to bed I thought I'll light the pilot light so we have water in the morning. Gas always makes me nervous and Tex says you'll be fine. So I go out to the garage, read and follow the directions and all is going great. Pilot light lit and I set the temp and BOOM. I huge flash and loud boom from the bottom of the tank. My heart drops, I stop the gas. I go in the house. There is Lisa, and Tristan coming to see what happened. I hear Tex saying "what was that?" So we end up calling security who can't really do anything so we end up calling the Donnelly Fire Department to make sure we are good to sleep here. While we wait I am trying to calm Tristan down. FD shows up and we are good. Needless to say I could not go to sleep. I tossed and turned all night. Today we called the gas company who is working on the repair. The tank is less than a year old but they think when we ran out of gas the exhaust vent on the roof was covered with snow and has blocked the airflow. Needless to say I'm a little jumpy after that.
We got about a foot of snow over night so Tristan and I headed out stock
pile some snowballs to ambush Patti. It was everything we needed it to
be! As the clouds broke we decided to head back to the ski slopes! It
was a beautiful day! After skiing we stopped in at the village for some cocktails and some snacks. We gave Tristan the opportunity to drive to the house and he had a bit of a mishap and missed the driveway, he took the 4 runner into the snow bank in front of the house. We could not stop laughing!!!! At least we got the first one out of the way!
We spent the rest of the weekend playing games, hanging as a family and most of al just relaxing before we head back to the work week and new school year.
Happy New Year everyone! May 2021 bring you faith, hope, and love.
