Hells Canyon Day 3 "The Big One"

Day 3 did not disappoint! I got the lucky draw of reeling in this 8'4" beauty! We were taking turns when the line would sing. As I stood next to the rod and the line was whistling our guide says "grab the pole". So I did. At the same time he plased a leather holder around my waist to put the pole in and I began to real. The hole thing took about 30-40 minutes. It was exhilarating, what blessing the entire weekend was truly incredible.

On our way home we went our respective ways. We decided to stop at the Lapwai Indian Reservation on the way home which was super cool too.

 

Hells Canyon Day 2

Day two was a beach day. We played lots of Rumicube, cards, spent time in the water on the mat. A day full of great food, great friends, great stories.

 

Hells Canyon with the Z-W's Day 1

Another bucket list item planned by Sheree. Man I am lucky to have her in my life. About a year ago she asked if they went on a sturgeon fishing trip if we would want to join. Of course I said yes. We drove up to Lewiston and spent the night hanging with a few of her class mates as she went up early for her class reunion. Then it was off to the boat launch!

 What a day!
