Chinese New Year with the Jensen Family

For many years now Angee and Kg have invited us to their family celebration of The Chinese New year. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful staff that I also feel as they are a part of my family. It is one of the many blessing about my job!

Tex & I showered the kids with money as a sign of good luck! 

Chinese New Year - The Year of the Sheep

Tristan has come so far in the Chinese Program at Gateway. The structure his teachers have given him  this year really put him in an environment to learn. It really showed at this years Chinese New Year Celebration. 

The night began with many projects for the kids!

There was a silent auction which included a quilt made by one of the parents in Tristan's class. I placed a couple of bids but did not win the quilt. I did however get a picture of Tristan's art work.

Afterwords we made a trip to TCBY since we were in Meridian.

TJ's first BSU basketball game BSU vs San Diego State

Tristan has been begging us to take him to a BSU game. Since they are all late starts we had to wait a few weeks until there was a weekend game. Today is the day! Sunday afternoon and we are ready for some basketball. It's been a while since I have been to a game and this was a great one! BSU came out on fire! It's a good thing because San Diego came out shooting in the second half but Boise State held on for the win. Oh and did I mention, Tristan made the big screen twice!
