Every year
Sheree gets to go for a work conference. Every once in a while she will
invite some friends along for the weekend to follow, this was the case
this year. We were off to NOLA!
If any of you know I am a huge Live PD fan and recently they have been spending a lot of time in Slidel, little did I know we would be going to Slidel for our swamp tour.
Headed out on the town for our haunted, historical tour.
Sheree booked another fabulous accommodation for us, 50 feet off Bourbon Street.
Day 2 we were off to Slidel
for a swamp tour. This was a super fun experience! We saw gators, wild
pigs and raccoons. Who new they liked marshmallows? Tex even got to
drive the boat.
This
is a picture of the old highway bridge that was destroyed during
hurricane Katrina. It simply just ended and the ruminants still remain.
Live music.
Dinner at Felix's.
One of three trips to the Hard Rock.
Suzette told us about the historic Carousel at The Hotel Montrose, we stopped in for a spin.
Time for some Binette's
Anyone up for a carriage ride?
Let the birthday shenanigans begin.
The boys would not send the beads since we were not "working" for them.
Ok,
so Ike is like 6'2" while we were walking to brunch we walked up next
to this man that had to be close to a foot taller than Ike, it was
crazy! The picture does not do it justice. He was huge.
Christy was celebrating her birthday this weekend and we had lunch with her at Court of Two Sisters.
Strolling back to our room.
We stopped into the local parish where they sold shirts from a vending machine, they were not to amused with us.
Tex and Johnny decided to call it a night.
Not us, the party lived on as we went to get a purple slushy : ) We were greeted by this parade.
Ever heard about "shop with a cop" how about "shot with a cop"?
A wedding party broke out and paraded down the city streets, this little boy stole the show! We joined in the celebration.
Another super fun weekend, with super great friends!
