Ready for a road trip

Today we headed to the coast. Angee and I planned this trip once we knew Hawaii was not an option. We decided to rent a house on the Oregon Coast. It may not be Hawaii but it is the ocean just the same. Something about the smell of the salt in the air brings such peace to my soul. Being in the company of this amazing family fills y cup and brings me such joy.

Our first stop was Tillamook Cheese Factory. With covid in full swing it is by appointment only. I have been waiting for weeks for the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The funny thing is the soup was great but the sandwich was ok. I have been eating so clean for so long that bread just does not taste good anymore.

We headed out to find our house, it was about an hour from Tillamook. We took a little detour on the way... in other words we got lost : ) we found this beautiful lookout though that we found was just around the corner from where we were staying.

Of course we had to go check out the beach. We were a little high than we thought we would be but the path to get to the beach was nothing short of amazing! So much so all the girls stopped to take a picture so we took a picture of them. After some beach art we set out to explore and watch the sunset. We found an amazing cave and took some sunset shots.

The house was amazing! We all had our own space. The kids settled in the basement. They had their own mini fridge that we filled and the house had plenty of games.
We are off to a great start!
