Apartmentalize 2023 had been on our radar for a year now and it’s finally here. The boys don’t usually travel with me for work but how could I not bring them to Atlanta. It has been just under 16 years since we picked up Tristan in Alpharetta. What a joy it has been to bring him back to see where he is from.
We first went to find the adoption agency but found it was no longer there. I did call the agency to try to find it but she told us she now ran it out of her home. She asked about Tristan and how he was doing and wished us well.
Day two we decided to find the hospital where he was born, Wellstar Cobb. We had not been there either so it was a fun find, lots of mixed emotions.
We still had one more day before the Conference started so Angee got us tickets to the Coca-Cola Factory, which we also visited when we were here in 2007.
Day Three we headed to the Braves Mets game. Other than a two hour rain delay the game was amazing! So glad they were able to play snd it was a great game!
Such a fun journey retracing our steps of Tristan’s first few days and I could not imagine doing it with anyone else besides the Jensen's. That was such a pivotal time in our lives and our children were one of the many things that brought us together.
The rest of this week was filled with great food, great stops, dancing in the rain, and many many laughs and the Conference hadn’t even started yet. We are truly blessed.
Welcome “home” Tristan. Love you so much.
