Hella,
Iceland Stracta Hotel. We arrived after an overnight flight and a
couple hour drive to our hotel. It was early afternoon and yet we were
able to nap for a couple hours. We went and checked out the small town
before finding a place to eat.
Monday was all about Puffins, which are my new favorite bird, Beluga Whales, and waterfalls.
We
visited Selajlamdsfoss Waterfall, Gljufrabui Wayerfall, which was my
favorite because you had to hike through a short cave to get to it.
We
then headed to board the ferry to head to Vestimanneayjar Island where
we saw Belugas, Puffins, and had some great pizza! We headed back to
Hella for one more nights rest. After a light snack the kids enjoyed the
hot tub and sauna. Today is a coastline trip to our next stop Hofn.
Oh, and it’s a fabulous 55 degrees!
