Just as God intended

Most of you now the story of Tristan's friend Jacob, I could never rewrite it as well as Jinjue so I won't try but to say we are happy to be here is a minor statement. This may look a little different but they are still perfect.

God is good.

They say... "come to the mountains and play" ... OK

If you know me, you know this first pictures brings true joy to my soul. Now that we have our own place we are able to bring Koa with us which I love. The part that I don't love is that we are not in the same space as our friends. The cabin has seen more people in it this summer than it has in a long time but man was it fun.

We opted to not do the long float this weekend because it is so hot, instead Tex shuttled us to the rodeo grounds and we floated to the theater. On our way back through we stopped for a shave ice and then did it again. It was perfect. Once we got home we drove the kids up to jump off the bridge. This has become an annual tradition.

Once we dried off we made the best taco salad ever and wrapped up the evening with games on the porch. It could not be more perfect. We were greeted by the largest full moon I have seen in a long time!

Great friends, great food, and lots of laughs!

Starlight Theater Camp 2024

While the kids were in camp we grabbed some shave ice. Little did we know while sitting on that bench Angee and I both got bit like crazy by some sort of bugs. We both thought it was just wood and found the bites later.

The camp was another success and full of fun. Not as many kids this year. Again the kids said "this might be it", we both secretly hope not.

Newsies was amazing, and as always the kids love catching up with the cast after the show!

Kenny Chesney

I think what I loved the most about today was my brother reaching out to me from California while listening to "NSR", no shoes radio,  and said "enjoy the show". Kenny was broadcasting live from our concert in Nampa. It was like he knew I would be there. You see, my brother and I have never been that close but what he doesn't know is how much I look up to him and always have. Today, he made me feel seen and loved. I love you so much big brother. My heart breaks with yours and the kids.

One step at a time. I love you.

Oh, and Kenny was pretty good too.
