Stranded behind a mudslide...

Patti came to town to do some work and we found out that our offer was accepted on our townhouse at Tamarack. Patti had not seen the unit yet so we decided to head up to be present for the inspection. We headed up early Tuesday morning and our plan was to come home that afternoon but you will soon find out that was not the case.

Since the townhouse was in a short sale the home owners dues had not been paid, thus the snow has not been removed. Need less to say, it was getting a little deep.

After the inspection and some lunch with our agent we decided to head down the hill only to be stopped for 2 hours by a mudslide. It was crazy!

I got some live footage of the mudslide. It was immediately after this slide that they decided to close the road for the night. We headed back to Tamarack to try to find a place to stay for the night.

Patti was so sweet. She took me to dinner at The Mill in McCall. I was saying I needed a little vacation from my life and now I got it. We had a fabulous dinner, glass of wine and some quality time next to the beautiful fire.

If you have not been to The Mill in McCall it has a lot of really interesting things to look at. The restaurant itself is a log building with open ceilings inside. The rafters are lined with old beer taps. The have historical pictures and paraphernalia all over inside.

Cindy put us up at a place at Tamarack and she gave us this super cute "care package" It was so nice! We stayed the night and then headed out the next morning. Unfortunately, Hwy 55 did not open so we took the long route back to Boise around highway 95 through Council and Weiser. It was a long 2 days but we finally made it home!
