It has been a while since we have seen the Niederer's so Tristan and I decided to make an impromptu trip to Idaho Falls for the weekend. It had been relatively overcast in Boise so I figured the travel would be fine but boy was I wrong. As soon as I hit Burley it was a blizzard all the way to Pocatello. Tristan slept most of the way. I saw 2 rollovers and 1 traffic accident on the way. Crazy! Once we arrived, Tristan had a bit of an upset stomach but he did not let that stop him from having a great time!
Saturday the kids headed out to play in the snow! It was a good thing it was sunny because it warmed it up a bit.
Tristan seemed to be feeling better so we stuck with our plan to take the kids to dinner and then to "cosmic" bowling. They had such a great time!

I O U Sushi
Every Monday I bake and then go to my friends sushi restaurant on Milwaukee. It is called I O U Sushi. I never picked myself for the sushi type but Patti took me once and I was hooked. Tex does not care for sushi so Monday is the perfect night for me to pick it up. Tristan has started sharing my roll with me and tonight he decided to take on the chop sticks and all in all he did pretty darn good!

My Broder & Sissy..
This weekend we made it a point try to get Garret over while Hanna was here so we could all spend some time together. Garrett is doing so great! We are so proud of him! He got all A's & B's on the first semester report card! GREAT JOB G MAN!
Hanna and Garrett played a little keep away with Tristan, it drove him crazy but he was so happy they were both there! After hanging out at the house for a bit we headed out to dinner. We went to the Pinnacle Sports Bar on Eagle Road. It was pretty good. We all caught up over dinner, then it was time to get Hanna home. What a great weekend! We have such great kids! They have all come so far!

90% chance of showers
Every Wednesday I run a "Brick", as I mentioned before a "brick" is when you complete two events back to back in one day. Because it is getting close to race day the bricks are getting longer in duration. Today was a bike/run brick. 77 minutes on the bike then a 4 mile run.
The weather report called for 90 % chance of showers today with a cold front coming in. Sheree and I decided that if it was raining in the morning we would meet inside and if not I would get my ride in outside then we would run our 4 miles outside together. The morning was not terrible, it was overcast but it had not rained by 10 so I called Sheree and told her I was heading out to ride and I would text her when I left so we could meet to run after. 1/2 way into my ride the temperature dropped and it began to blizzard, and I mean blizzard. But what do you do when you are miles from your starting point, you just keep going. I was wearing warm enough gear that I did get wet but I did not get cold. As I rolled back up to my starting point there was Sheree laughing her a_ _ off with camera in hand. Oh, did I mention it was 62 degrees yesterday... gotta love Idaho weather!
Since it was a blizzard outside Sheree said we should just go to lunch. I said, let's just run 2 miles. At the end of the 2 miles I told her I was going to drop her off and finish the run. She offered to run one more mile with me but at the end of that mile she decided to finis it out with me. Funny thing was we got to gabbing and ran an extra .4 miles. All in all great brick dealing with the elements. Thank God I have such a great friend!
