Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day and we are spending the day with our friends Sheree and Johnie. Sheree's mother's family settled outside of Donnelly and they invited us to the Memorial Service at the Finnish Cemetery and Church where they were commemorating the day with a 21 gun salute. This was very special day and we want to thank them for sharing their culture with us.

This video clip need no introduction... Thank you for all who have given and are giving to our country. Freedom is not free.

After heading back we headed over to the house to see the Niederer's. We were going to go fishing but we didn't have any bait so we headed out on a walk to try to find some worms. We struck out on the worms but had a lot of fun on the walk.

Patti had gone out on a run and Tasha rousted out this baby elk calf. The mother was hiding in the brush across the street.

It began to rain a bit so we opted for the hot tub at the lodge rather than fishing.

After dinner it was off to the lake for a little fishing and fun. We rounded out the night with smore's by the campfire.

Family, friends, and fun!
That is what life is all about right?
