Since we knew we would be getting up bright and early we decided to head off to Volcano. I was not aware that she was not erupting any longer. Apparently she quieted down about a month ago. We will go explore none the less.
After just loosing Rhoni and planning to tour the island, I decided to take her along for the ride. We never made it to Hawaii together so she will fever be in my heart.
We made a quick stop at Black Sands Beach which is always guaranteed for sea turtles.
We stopped for the tourist photo as we entered the park lol!
Then it was off to Jagger. We have not been there since the 2018 eruption. The change is incredible.
We strolled through the Thurston Lava Tube which just recently opened.
We stopped into the lodge for some shopping and the kids added to their penny collection. I love that they still do this!
Sheree made us reservations at the Kilauea Lodge. I enjoyed some yummy Loco Moco.
The flowers outside were amazing! It's always so luch on this side of the island!
We made it up to Rainbow Falls where the kids were swinging from the vines.
Then onto the Boiling Pots which were pretty calm today.
We made it home in time to catch a stunning sunset but let me tell you it was a long day!
Truly blessed for sure!
