Hershey, PA & Gettysburg

DC day 2
We started out with an early wake up call. 530 with a departure time of 6 am. Angee and I and the Utah Association and their guest were headed to Hershey Pennsylvania followed by Gettysburg.
We had a brief stop in Maryland where we picked up a colleague and the stopped for breakfast at Miss Shirley's where I ordered up some fried green tomatoes! They were delicious!
We were back on the road headed for Hershey, Pennsylvania. There Paul treated us to a tour of the Hershey Plant where we were able to become official tasters, take a tour through the factory and finally make our own personal chocolate bar. So fun!
We had a bit of a snack before heading off for Gettysburg. Once we arrived we were greeted by Eric, our tour guide who gave us an exceptional tour in full detail. It truly was one of the best guided tours I have ever had. There we walked through many locations of the battlefield. Such an amazing experience. During our tour we were created with a bit of rain which provided us a spectacular rainbow! Once the tour was over we dropped our guide off and began our journey back to DC. We made a stop in Maryland for dinner. Another amazing day on our journey. This was a 17 hour day. Whew. Truly blessed.
