The pep rally.
We decided to catch the shuttle to the Fox Grill. This is the bar that Channel 7 was broadcasting from. No broadcast tonight but the energy level was hi. I decided since we were on our own and now driving to have a fruity beverage. The Fox Hurricane to be exact... I had 2. Just when we were getting ready to leave I got a call from Christy. They were going to come meet us! Yea! Then they offered to take Tex to The Hard Rock in Phoenix which ended up being a story in itself!
School Pride at the Fox Grill
Before Christy and Ike came to pick us up they got directions to Hard Rock from their hotel. The person at the desk was not sure if it was still there or not but we headed there anyway. Apparently Christy was tired of navigating because she let Tex have the directions. The funny thing is, if you now Tex at all you would never let him navigate because he always gets lost. That's OK Christy, you did not know. Tex actually did a pretty decent job accept for one minor wrong turn but that made for a great lap on the 101: ) (right Mario?) Once we found the address given by the hotel there was no Hard Rock to be found. Christy then looked it up on her phone and found one in down town Phoenix so we were off! Remember, I already had 2 fruity beverages.
I was able to pull up a map on my phone from the closed Hard Rock to the one that was open down town. Once there it was time for some more fruity beverage! Yep... the fruitapoluza! I had 2 more. Needless to say I was getting a bit giggly. The ride home was quit interesting but blogging it just won't do it justice, you will just have to ask Christy about it.
