About 2 1/2 years ago, Tex and I went looking for a day school / pre school for Tristan. We found A Kid Kastle and have completely loved it from day 1. Tristan has had great teachers, great friends, and great activities. With him beginning kindergarten he won't be there much longer so that made today especially poignant.
The school has been hosting a fund raiser for the March of Dimes. They talked about it with all of the kids in class, so much so that Tristan told me, "Mommy, we need to check our couch for change and take it in for the babies". When I really figured out what was going on I thought it was the cutest thing ever. The school also held a bake sale, which I should say we bought a few too many items at : )
Lastly, those who were interested were going to walk together for the race. This is a race I have never taken part in but what a cause and what a great time for the kids!
After registration we went off looking for Miss Tommy, Miss Viera, & Miss Hailey. Instead we found a few super hero's hanging around.
After some time in the bounce house we found the mini Life Light and took a ride.
We found his teachers as well as a few friends.
On the latter part of the walk we found Super Hero Alley... Needless to say little TJ was stoked!
Batman is always a favorite!
Can't forget the Incredible Spiderman!
How about Ironman!
Or your friendly neighborhood policeman.
As we were leaving they began to hold a hula hoop contest... or if you ask Tristan it was ahoop da loop contest. He begged me to go join in. I was a bit skeptical but we really had some time before his soccer game so I told him to go ahead. The cute little guy wiggle his little buns with about 6 - 8 other girls. Then, by a vote by the audience actually won his group. He was so excited! It was priceless.
Fabulous day for a fabulous cause!
