Headed to Many Glacier for a Hottin' Nanny

Today we are headed for Many Glacier but not without some fresh huckleberry muffins for breakfast and a quick stop by The Glacier Lodge. The views were spectacular.

As we entered Many we saw our first bear! It was up on the side of the ledge but the distance did not make it any less exciting! Sheree had us booked for our first adventure a boat ride across two lakes and a short hike to a glacial lake. Tristan decided to fall asleep on the first ride so Tex volunteered to take the kids back so Sheree, Johnnie and I could hike in. It was simply amazing! There was a family who saw a sow and two cubs just off the trail but we were not lucky enough to see them. I was bummed out. We did however, get to see a moose on the oat ride.

After the boat ride we went to check out our rooms. The rooms had been remodeled but no TV, no Internet. I have to admit I was kind of excited to be "disconnected". Once we were checked in we were off to the great hall for supper! This room was simply beautiful! Dinner was quit good too! Prime Rib and Huckleberry Margarita's!

After dinner the kids and I headed out to the lake to do a little fishing. We each took turns casting. Tristan caught one but wasn't able to land it : ( The funny part was Tristan still won't bait up his own hook so Paige was eager to help. Paige also snapped a few selfie's while we were out there.

We capped off the night with some entertainment at The Hootin' Nanny, this is when the staff from the park perform in the basement of the Lodge, it is a time honored tradition. Another lovely day!
