Iceland Day 1 The Blue Lagoon & The Frost & Fire Hotel

Today was truly magical. The Z-W's and us have had an Iceland trip planned for about a year. I am so fortunate to have not just a friend but a family that is so outgoing and adventurous. I have to give her credit because I do not love planning trips and she has set up another great one here. First up on day 1 is The Blue Lagoon, and after 2 of our bags not arriving and our rental car being booked for the month of October instead of November (Dollars mistake), we were ready for the healing waters of the Lagoon. Needless to say the day did not disappoint.

Since we left Idaho yesterday at 10 am and only Tristan really got some sleep we were all exhausted. Once we arrived at The Lagoon we were all on a high. It was simply amazing! The water was amount 102 degrees and could very in temperature depending on where you were in the Lagoon. We treated ourselves to the Silica and Algae mask, complimentary drinks and gave ourselves a tour of the entire lagoon. We spent a few hours there and then showed and had some lunch before our trip to The Frost and Fire Hotel in Hverhamar, 810 Hveragerði Icland. The drive would be about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I could hardly stay awake, Tristan crashhed basically when he got in the car and I made it my goalto keep  Tex awake, The bad part was I kept nodding off. But we made it.

Our rooms were small, and they are in European countries but beautiful. We all settled down for a nap when we arrived... Tristan barley made it in the door. Once we woke up we headed out for pizza at a local Brewery. It was super great! Tomorrow it is of on a jeep tour on the Golden Ring.
