Tex is home.
He got out of surgery about non and we just got home. He is doing well and is very sore of course. He will enjoy being babied for a while I'm sure. The hernia was only about the size of a quarter but the sac was the size of a silver dollar 9no wonder it hurt so much).
Tex's Hernia
Well, Tex is off to St Als to have his Hernia removed. He had is looked at about 10 days ago and figured it was time to get it taken care of. We had known that there was something up for some time but he never got it looked at. It has been very hard for him since his job is based of of lifting a number of things daily.
Sheree was so nice, she called me earlier in the week to see if she could help. She and Paige came over early this morning so I could take Tex in and not have to wake up Tristan. Thanks Sheree!
Now I am at home making some breakfast and all I am thinking of is my Husband. His Surgery is at 930 and it should only take 1/2 an hour. I am going to eat and then wake up Tristan so I can go to work and get some things done before he gets out. He is supposed to call me when I can pick him up. I will post later today with an update.

Pebble Tec Day!
So, today I awoke to a very loud truck outside my house so I new there was something big going on! Today is Pebble Tec Day. Pebble Tec is the new finish they are putting on our pool. It is going to be absolutely beautiful. You can't really tell here but the tent should be off next week and I can get some better pictures!

We have a new President!
We all took the day off to watch the Inauguration festivities. I made a pot of Polish sausage Soup and mom and Lisa came over. It was a day filled with history both past and present!
My favorite picture of the day... Mom paying the piggy. You may ask, what is paying the piggy? It is Tristan's College Fund. Whenever someone curses in front of Tristan you have to pay the piggy! Today

How to publish...
Since many of you are asking how to publish your blog I thought I would publish a post on it. There are many different sites but I am using the one that one of my friends used. My friend Angee helps me when I need blogging 101 and she has completed her first book. We are using www.blurb.com. Basically you can download blurb, there is a tool to "slurp" you blog onto the software and then you just go through the steps! Good Luck! I can't wait to see all of your books!

Just to let you all know...
I have been spending a lot of time organizing my book from the 2008 blog. It is taking more time than I thought. For those of you who don't know you can actually publish your blog in written form. We are in the process of doing that now. I can not wait to share it with you all. I have a lot of pictures to add, I will get those done soon.

The Niederer's were here!
Satuday
Morgan had a competition in Nampa, she is on a dance team and she is just an amazing tumbler. you should see her little muscles. I was not able to go because my truck was in the shop. They did not get in until late last night and they were late getting out the door this morning. Sue is the perfect cheer mom and Kev is the perfect cheer dad. They are all so cute!
After, the competition we all just hung out. the kids all played and we all caught up.
Sunday
Before they left we all went out for lunch on Sunday, even mom was able to stop by to say hello.
It was a very nice visit.

A good day.
Last Friday I met with my girlfriend Danni. It was a good day because I really needed to talk to her. Dani is a Psych Major and has had experience in counseling. Not only is she one of my best friends but she has also been very close to Tex and I, In fact I met Tex through her and her ex-boyfriend. Dani, thank you so much for coming to see me it was definitely a step in the right direction! I love you very much!
Our entire family has been through so much in the last six months, and each of us is dealing with it in our own way. I think that now that I have had time to slow down and everything has been getting back to "normal" I have really had a lot of time to think about things. I am very thankful for everything that we have and that my dad is doing so well. Everything is so interrelated that it was just so much to take in.
Today I met with a counselor at The Cathedral of the Rockies. He was very nice and NEUTRAL, considering that pretty much everyone that is close to me is directly related to, not only my family, work and dad's accident. It was nice to talk to someone whom did not know the situation.
The counselor asked me one very important question after an hour of balling my eye's out. He Said, "tell me what happened when you found out about your dad's accident, did you cry?" I said, I cried once, briefly, in the shower. I said I don't think I cried until one week ago. Well, I have done enough drying since then for the entire family I think. Meeting with the counselor was a very good experience! Our family dynamic is all so inter-related, we work together, we play together, and of course we live together (or close). that is a lot of together, which I am very thankful for but sometimes it just takes one over the top. I hope that these few sessions will help those around me as much as they help me personally.
I love you all!

On the phone with dad!
Well, amazingly enough while Sue was sending me the e-mail to put on the blog I was the one on the phone with dad. I have been really struggling with a lot of things lately (thus no blogs). Work, home the realization of what has really transpired over the last six months and how none of us have really had time to think about it. (A little thanks to those of you directly related for my often erratic and spontaneous behavior lately). Sue was right that dad did mean to call someone else but once I told him it was me we had a very, very good conversation, like 20 minutes. We talked about things going on in Hawaii, how he was enjoying being back there and how the weather was amazing. I told him about my refi on our house and how everyone was doing here in Idaho. It was so nice to talk to him! I have always known what an amazing man he is and I have never taken that for granted but every day he amazes me even more I love him so much and I thank God every day that he made him my dad!
Aloha
Hi All-
Well, we have been home here for a little over a week and have been running from one appointment to another.
Dr, rehab, audiologist, massage for Len, ST and PT at home, and welcome home party from the book group.
We are both glad to be here and enjoying the warm weather, especially after Minnesota.
It was a little voggy earlier in the week but the weather over the past two days has been amazing. I see the vog coming back but I understand the vent is closing up in Volcano. It will be a while before we see the last of it but hopefully our air will clear up around here.
I know Len is glad to be home and has started to take more interest in business. He is asking more questions which is very gratifying to me. He is also more bossy which I can do without.
He is walking to church and has jogged a couple of times on his usual route. This Sunday he got caught in our short storm just before he made it to church. The wind really picked up and I was running around closing windows and wondering if I should drive down and find him then realized he would already be at the service before I could get there.
The rain started so I decided i would pick him up after church. Well, the service is being held in a tent at the moment so they canceled the service and before I could get out the door here comes a very soaked Len. Yipes!! Oh well, just another show of independence on his part.
Len has decided to go back to chorus so we will start in tomorrow night. Mark ask him to come back and Len said he would give it a try. Mark feels it will be good therapy for Len and I agree. We will see how it goes.
The welcome home party was held at Judi Nakamaru's house and Len was great. He talked to everyone and at one point I looked over and he was talking to the "guys". It all felt so normal. Everyone thought he was adorable and they were all so understanding. What a great group of friends. I have missed them alot.
Right now he talking to someone on his phone and almost every word is clear. I have no idea who it is but he is giving them the low down on his progress. I think he meant to call Patti but called someone else.
Thought you would all be wondering how things are going. They are going GREAT!!!!!

Happy 5th Birthday Rylee!
Rylee's birthday was this week and she had a party today. Once, everyone arrived for Bug's party she got to open her presents. She had some of the best expressions. Tex, Tristan and I got to meet Tommy, Dani's boyfriend for the first time. He seems like a really nice guy. After presents we had cake and ice cream. The kids all had a great time. I love the picture when they are all sitting on the floor eating their cupcakes. The kids were all so good!

Hanna's Christmas
Well, we got Hanna for the weekend and she finally got to open all of her Christmas presents. Johnnie, she loves the coat! She didn't at first but she took it home and now she wears it all the time! She also loved the crazy shirt! Hanna got a few buck and was able to get an IPOD that she was very excited about! The bad news is we had to take it away for two week because she lied to us. She apologized though, she will get it back next weekend.

New Years Day
Tex, Tristan and I woke up and watched the Rose Parade. We then went down and had some breakfast. Last night when Scott, Donna and the kids were here they brought Tristan a present for his birthday. Since I had just put him to bed he was not able to open it. So, here you go! The McFadden's got TJ a toy remote, a couple of shirts and a blue and orange football, which he loves! That's a good sign!
Thank you Scott, Donna, Hannah, & Blake
