Atlantis Day 3 The Mayan Temple Hortons v Sharks

Today Tristan and I set out on a mission --- a Mayan Mission.

First up The Challenge - Challenge a friend to a high-speed splashdown! Guests can race each other down the twin high-speed Challenger Slides of the Mayan Temple, and then check their speeds on the time clocks at the bottom to see who won!

Next up The Serpent - On the five-story corkscrew Serpent Slide, guests travel on a tube at high speeds through the darkness of the Mayan Temple's core. The twisting and turning ride culminates with a leisurely pass through a clear acrylic tunnel submerged in a shark-filled lagoon.

We were working our way up to The Leap of Faith -  The Leap of Faith slide offers a daring and adventurous 60-foot almost-vertical drop from the top of the world-famous and iconic Mayan Temple. The body slide propels riders at a tremendous speed through a clear acrylic tunnel submerged in a shark-filled lagoon.

Tristan got to the top and could not muster up the energy, but it's early.

We met Tex for a late lunch and then headed off to the Lagoon where Tristan met some new friends and catching more hermit crabs was the agenda for the afternoon.

As things were wrapping up at the water park Tristan wanted a few more cracks at The Serpent. This was definitely a good time to ride and the park was winding down. He road it about 8 or 9 times and I could see it in his eye's, he was ready to take that Leap, He climbed the stairs but bailed at the top. I know he will do it before we leave. I will keep you all posted.
