Today is our last day in Germany. We took a casual stroll to finish walking the entire wall, picked up some souvenirs and just enjoyed the city.

A trip down the Rhine River with my boys
Twenty years ago I went on my first trip out of the country with my parents. We flew into Frankfurt and boarded a boat to float down the Rhine River. That trip forever changed my life. History would never be the same. It was then I fell in love with the mid evil time period. The thought of the age of these fortress simply amazed me and the fact that there were castles on both side of the river for miles simply amazed me.
Fast forward 20 years, i'm now married with a son of my own and we are traveling through Frankfurt on the way home from Africa, why would I not show my boys the trip that changed my life. I surprised them with the same trip down the Rhine. Auntie was there too!
An
unforgettable day trip to the Rhine River Valley - an area UNESCO
counts to the World Heritage of mankind. Come to see the river, the
little villages and vineyards. Mighty medieval castles more than
anywhere else in the world. Enjoy a gorgeous view from the Niederwald
Monument and a cable car ride in the summertime (optional) from the top
of the hills. Lunch in a beautiful restaurant at the riverside is
included followed by a wonderful boat trip on a Rhine steamer alongside
the famous river panorama up to St. Goarshausen with the famous Loreley
Rock. We invite you to a wine tasting in a little tavern. If time
permits the tour will finish with a souvenir shopping stop in Rudesheim.
