After an hour cab ride with an interesting and funny driver, whom only pulled over once to pee on the sidewalk , we got to our hotel. After a bit of a hiccup, we checked into our amazing room. We each have our own area and bathroom. We took in the views from the window.
We unpacked a bit and then went for a walk. We walked until we found Lou Malnati's. When in Chicago, eat deep dish pizza. It was so good! We also shared a salad that was delicious. We enjoyed another couple at the bar and they shared a piece of their pizza with us because they said "when in Chicago, eat the sausage on your pizza!" I preferred our pepperoni. The bar tender was fantastic and we had great service.
We
walked around more on our way back to the hotel. We people watched,
caught a street show, stopped at Walgreens, and enjoyed the slight
breeze in this humid city. I can't believe we're in Chicago!
