Krista Long
August 8, 2021
Eagle, Idaho - On August 8, 2021,
Krista Elizabeth Long, a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and a loving
presence who had a gift for making everyone feel noticed and important,
was called home, where she is now in the presence of God, Nana, and
Bapa. Her passing has left behind heartbreak of an incomprehensible
level.
In her 39 years, Krista didn't just light up a room with her
physical beauty and radiant smile; she lit up the lives of everyone she
encountered. Whether she was providing with her culinary genius,
sharing a wise perspective, or adventuring with a loved one, she was
always present in the moment and putting others first. She felt called
to live a life that mirrored Jesus, loving profoundly and serving
others.
Krista was an incredibly generous person with her time,
friendship, and, most notably, her cooking. She was at home in the
kitchen whipping up some marvelous concoction. She gave freely of
herself and, like her cooking, her love seasoned each person she came
into contact with. The more time you spent with her, the more her love
and attention would season your life, and that part of her will be with
each of us forever.
She is survived by her husband (Chad) and
children (Kyler, Bryson, and Jenna) Her parents Tom and Kathy Denig, her
brother Tommy and his wife Sommar, and a Long list of inlaws; Tom,
Debbi, Kenneth, Anne, Tren, Linzie, and a fleet of nieces and nephews;
Rachel, Kayla, Isabel, Merle, Olivia, and Isaac. Please keep the family
and the community that loved her in your prayers.
Her earthly life
is celebrated on August 24, 2021, at 6:30 pm at Foothills Church (9655 W
State St, Garden City, ID 83714). As a result of the way Krista loved
and lived, she has people who deeply care about her worldwide.
It feels impossible to live in a world without Krista. If we follow her
lead, passionately loving and serving, the pieces of herself that she
gave to each of us will continue to light the world! May her legacy of
love live on in each of us during our remaining time on earth.
Loved this picture of the boys that was captures as they support their "brother".
