My "Layne Bryant Friend"

Today I had planned a trip to Layne Bryant to try on some jeans. It seems that they have their own sizes and every time I go in these I am never in the mood to try them on to get my size so today was the day.

I walk in and I am standing by the counter waiting for help, this man, my age, peaks his head around the corner and asks if he can help me. My first instinct was "are you kidding me...a man...is going to help me find these jeans?" I come to terms with this and then I begin to give him my little shpeel about never being in the mood to try on the jeans and he said "so today your in the mood?" I said, "no, but that is what I am here to do."

First, he ask me to turn around. I said OK so you can check out my but? He takes me over to the jean section and starts telling me about the sizing and sends me off to try a pair of them on.
I try the jeans on and they fit quit nicely. He then proceeds to tell me they will stretch and I should go down a size if I can, so he sent me off to try the next size. This were pretty comfortable too. The only thing I did not like was the little roll it gives you on the top of your jeans. I then proceed to tell him about that and he directs me to SPANX and has me try some of those on.

Now remember this is all pretty personal, he then asks me when the last time I was fitted for a bra? I told him some time ago and he picked up some bra's for me to try on. I now had the bra, the SPANX, and the jeans and I was off to the fitting room. When I came out he asked how they fit. I loved the bra but the SPANX rolled a bit. He says "Oh I can fix that come with me". We go into the dressing room, he right behind me and he reaches under my shirt and basically gave me a wedgie. I frickin laughed until I cried. I am sure you could have heard me in the middle of the mall.

As he was checking me out I decided to introduce myself. His name was Jamie. Jamie then tells me if I really want to see him in action that I need to go to the Balcony Friday night to see his drag show. Get this, his drag name is Selena... I told him my best friends name was Selena!

Jamie had me in/out, and whipped into shape in 45 minutes and was the most honest person I have ever dealt with trying on clothes... You Go Girl!

Thanks Jamie

Playing with the big dogs!

The past couple of years the men's teams have been holding a tournament at Hawks Stadium. Hawks Stadium, for those of you who don't know, is our minor league baseball field. They use the 90 foot bases, they steal, but they use a softball instead of a baseball with a USSSA pitch which is 3 - 6 feet. Tex had never played in this tournament but this year he was invited and he was all excited. Saturday I did not go because we did the women's fitness celebration. The team lost the first game and won the next two leaving them to play at 9 am Sunday. Tex called after the first game and said they won so TJ and I got ready and headed down to the field. When we arrived they were in the 4th inning and up 6 runs to 2. They ended up loosing that game but Tex had a really great time!

Tex on 1st.

Women's Fitness Celebration

Mike McLenna/KTVB.COM

BOISE -- Thousands upon thousands of women might have enjoyed a well-earned few hours on the couch after participating in the St. Luke's Women’s Fitness Celebration Saturday morning.

It was a great time, and this year the weather made up for last year's downpour.

"The Women’s Fitness Challenge is awesome," said one participant.

Celebrating fun and fitness

The Celebration was full of participants like this, all getting outside on a Saturday morning to dance, sing and celebrate fitness.

This pretty much sums up the fabulous morning we had today! Thanks Sherre, Paige, Red Nag & Tristan + 12000 other friends!

The fly over!

I got married there!

Let the caos begin!

This time last year I had been working on my village for about a month already. This year is a bit different. With Tristan being older I don't dare put those pieces out for him to get to so Patti had a great Idea of putting it in the china hutch so that is the plan!

The Park day 2

Day two in the park did not start off so great and it ended even worse. Tristan woke up and you could tell he was not feeling well. He began to throw up while we were loading the van. We all made a decision that he would be sick whether in the car or at Sue & Kev's so we decided to drive home through Jackson Hole. This probably sounds great but as we began approaching the end of Yellowstone and entering Teton National Park I began to get nauseous, Patti, you would have been proud I kept saying it is all in my head, but I was wrong. Before we left the park I was throwing up and then some. Needless to say I let Tex drive and I was concentrating on not hurling in the car. All I know is I do not remember the ride home being anything other than many stops for me, none of them my proudest moments. Finally Tex got us to Suzette and Kevan's in Idaho Falls some 5 hours later. Tex and Kevan proceeded to get the car unloaded while Suzette and that dear little Morgan came upstairs and got their master bedroom ready for us to contaminate. Then I heard that Tex was hit and laying on the floor downstairs. Tex was now infected. Needles to say it was along night. All I had to say to Tex was "at least you have a toilet". We can not thank Sue and Kev enough for all they did for us, no one could have made us feel more comfortable.

So we were supposed to come home Monday but Tex could not bear the car for 5 hours so we decided to stay until Tuesday. Trevan was having knee surgery on Tuesday so we offered to watch the kids and clean up the house so it was no longer infected. While I was changing Kiesan I threw my damn back out. I swear, after such a fabulous weekend I can't believe all the drama! I probably would have been OK had I not played in the double header Tuesday night. Considering I had no energy and it took me the first game to find my bat, I hit the crap out of the ball in the second game. This played havoc with my back. Needless to say I have been at the chiropractor all week.

Here, are some fabulous pictures from Day 2 and you never would have known any of this transpired!

We stopped for lunch and TJ was still not feeling well so we went for a walk.
Love the colors!

Did I mention I love Buffalo?

I heard the Teton's were remarkable but I do not remember seeing them?

It really was a great weekend!

Yellowstone National Park

Some weeks ago Tex and I decided to head to Idaho Falls and see some of our friends. We rented a van and headed to Yellowstone. Saturday we all piled in the van and we were off. This was after Suzette spent all day being Betty Crocker and making snacks for the trip... and mmm were they good!

We stopped at the springs in Island Park for a picnic lunch and Suzette filled the water bottle.

We finally made it to the park.

The first sighting was an elk.

The second was a heard of buffalo. Saying I love buffalo is really a minor statement. I have a few great buffalo stories. The first that comes to mind is going through the park many years ago with Dad and Sue. Dad wanted to take my picture next to a buffalo and dad kept saying "get a little closer...get a little closer" When my mom saw the photo she was furious!

The second that comes to mind is that Suzette and I used to drive to Bozeman to go "buffalo hunting", this was just a term Suzette and I used to got look for buffalo, the funny thing is that Brian #1 used to think that we were going to look for guys... hello!

oooooo, ahhhhhhh

I love this picture of the kids!

Sue and Kev tied the kids down, at least one of them!

Tex got some shopping in, surprise, surprise!

Old Faithful! Still Faithful!

TJ rockin out!

This is a shot from inside the Lodge, Tex tells me that he is going to bring me here to stay at the lodge... I can't wait!

So, here we are on our way back from Old Faithful and we see this buffalo walking down the road, tongue hanging out, and then we see that he is all bloody. As he walks past the van we see a perfect hole in the side of his next the size of a horn. He had just been in a fight with another buffalo. Then we see this...

Sunday, when we headed to Jackson Hole we actually saw one of these buffalo dead along side the river bank. The ranger had it all bloc

These shots were taken by my wonderful husband. This bull was about 300 yard out, watching over his heard of girls. I can't believe the great shots he got and these are just a few.

This is the place we got outside of West Yellowstone. It was perfect! 3 bedroom 2 bath, plenty of room for all of the kids and parents! Suzette made lasagna, salad, and Texas toast for dinner... mmm was it good! After dinner the kids played together and we kicked back and watched TV.

What a fabulous day!
